Quote from CheerioDM :I wonder how that would work in the control settings for the switch.
I currently have 1-6 7-12

I'm guessing you use the 1st range switch for going from 1-6 to 7-12 then the 2nd range switch for 12-16.

Quote from shorty943 :For interests sake, absolute top speed with speed limiters off is set to 180 KPH.
Which is kind of crazy as the tires would explode in RL scenarios, that is the very reason racing trucks are limited to 160KPH\100MPH. Tire technology can't keep real physics and centrifugal forces from expanding and exploding tires at any greater speeds than that.

There is also a new mod out for the big Mercedes, gives you the chipped "black" engine at 670HP. This engine really sparkles, it has good response from throttle at all settings, revs like a banshee.

And for Cherio, and the rest of us gear jammers, there is a new mod out for the ZF 16 speed transmission, I'm hoping to be able to mod it for all the rest of the trucks soon, currently only for the small 310HP Iveco rig.

As for bonneted models, probably won't see them yet, it seems the people at SCS are still busy with bug hunting etc, pity really because I'd love to run a nice Western Star or similar.

Where could I possibly find that gearbox mod?

Quote from Scawen :Got a few things done today, mostly on objects.

Tuesday

Objects in escape road at BL chicane removed from open configs
List of Hosts now shows X or Y if an open config is selected
Car reset now works on open configs (if reset is enabled)
Wear limit for changing tyres can be set to 100% (never)
Compatibility : new packets not sent if connected to old host
Compatibility : new host does not allow old versions to connect

Wednesday

FIX : Clutch axis / button was not reported from Controls screen
Surface friction of objects is now CONCRETE (was previously ICE)
Discovered that many KY2 and KY3 replays were OOS due to objects
Implemented SPR version check so old replays can still be watched
Added a new Ramp2 which is the same as Ramp1 but 2.8 metres wide
Ramp1 and Ramp2 are stored in the exe and loaded into all tracks

Here's a screenshot of a jump off Ramp2 at FE4Y.

Good progress, and it seems like you're posting daily reports?

Sorry, but no, because that roundabout is closed off with "segments" rather than "objects". That SO section would need reworking in the track editor to allow access to all of that roundabout and the motorway.

Well, those do vary between configs - that means they are automatically not included in the open configs.

As the physics have not changed, there is not point making things incompatible (and deleting all the hotlaps) at this point - so no new tracks. And although this patch has taken me quite a few weeks, it's still a "quick" update, which it wouldn't be if we started to edit the tracks. It's quite convenient and helpful that when people get the test patch, they can still join all the old hosts.

Good progress I see
