You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave

I'm also ready for the new season. The old cars of HeerBommel are sold but I've got myself a full garage of new ones. Don't expect to use them against Rudi however. I suppose the gap is stil about 3 seconds a lap

Pool 4.

That BF1 is not my favorite . A month ago I did some training and managed to drive low 2:07 's a few times. Then I shove the thing in the garage and forgot about it until raceweekend. Someone must have sabotaged it because in raceweekend I could hardly drive it under 2:10.

At the start there were a few drivers with a lot of lag. I didn't want to bash into them so I took it easy, but I also fell back from place 3 to 9 after the first lap. During the race I tried to keep out of trouble and that way I managed to get a 5th place. I didn't had a very inspired race but I suppose I should be thankfull for the result.

Quote from Jakg :Logitech G25, soon to be released, if thats to expensive, try the DFP or Momo wheels

Well, I am the proud owner of a Momo but the pedals ..... need a replacement. I was looking at the Finnmotion pedals. It could be an option to use those pedals in combination with the Momo. Or I could wait for the G25. The shifter with the G25 is a nice gadget but I can live without it.

Does anyone has a suggestion about the wheel itself? Will there be a noticable difference between the Momo and the G25? Maybe the Momo is about to break up after 2 years of hard duty. I wouldn't know.

I was driving in pool 7. The only pool where all racers got to the finish. Not all of them in good shape I suppose, cause I had to avoid some flying carts a few times.

Had to start in front, but I am not a very good starter and tried to be very carefull. So most of the time I was holding the pace down for the rest of the bunch. Lot of them succesfully passed me. To be honest, I've never been passed so much in one race. But it wasn't too bad cause the guys in front continued to make greater errors than me.

After 35 laps I felt a bit more secure and tried to hunt Darion who had a lead of about 7 seconds atm. I saw him sliding off a few times before, so pushing a little bit could have led to ... hm ... an improved position. 3 laps before the finish I was 2 seconds behind but then I forgot to hunt and started to think illepall .

So in the end I finished in second place. A nice result based on concistency. Congratulations Darion with a well deserved victory .

Quote from GWADanny :im looking for a team any team so i can race in leagues n stuff. I am on this game alot and love it. So if any teams are interested then i will join.

Thanks

You can always join leagues. Try the Original LFS League. You can hop in halfway the league to get a feal for it (4 races to go) and fight for overal position in the next league.

Quote from joen :So you play a simulation of a simulation in a sense?
Mkay

Exactly. When you look at a mirror in the mirror you are very close to the real thing .

Quote from HorsePower :So, how many racers are in your team? I would think, it is rather hard to find people who

a) like LFS
b) want to join a team
c) have similar interests, e.g. driving only at night while having fun being stretched or electrified

'Lowlife' is in fact a simulation of a team, not a real team. We have a whole bunch of virtual mechanics, virtual PR ladies etc. I am the only real driver and there's no need for more. The page 'join us' isn't very inviting and not very usefull either. The telephone number is a free information number about income tax. The email does work however.

Lowlife International

Hi there!

We like to present the racing team of 'Lowlife International'. Please pay a visit to our teams paddock and let our hostess give you a warm welcome.

For obvious reasons we dislike racing in daylight. We anxiously await night races. There we can show the true qualities of our team.

Greetz,

Quote from Blackout :The combo is excelent for good fights

Maybe a good opportunity to rub the dust off my wheel. I am backed up by a bunch of weirdo's so I could give it a try.
