Hi Guys,

Not sure if this is possible yet, i am also not sure if the developer (great job) is taking feature requests.

But if you are.. would it be possible to put in the below please;

1. Indicator Signals for Dials (Left / Right) the classic arrows (not sure if this is possible)
2. Hazzard Light Signals (The Classic Red Triangle)

Thank you for listening.. please let me know if these are possible and if so any good.

Errrmmm.. Not that i want to step on the cats tail, but what on earth has this topic got to do with "Unofficial Addons", it started as someone asking for the least required thing in this game, and went to people comparing American Muscle to European Spec cars

I live in europe, i have wanted a Mustang Fastback my entire life, american muscle is the best type of muscle.

Yes European cars can turn and grip alot better, but at the end of the day, i don't want a car to whip some guys ass who has a SRT-4.

I like what cars i want to, but American Muscle will always tickle my taste buds.

I once (ONLY ONCE ) seen a Camero SS i think it was, in my home town here in Ireland, the car was so damn loud, it was the best sound i have ever heard in my life.

The car was so loud it rumbled and echo's down the street. From that day i have wanted to pull up in town and rev one of them damn cars!

I also would love a Nissan Skyline, and a 180SX.

Feel free to grill me, but at the end of the day i don't care what YOU think of my personell preferance.

I ain't gonna let someone tell me my car isn't "Amazing", i don't care if it is or not, if i love my car then i will drive it.

Whether it is a SRT-4 or a Miata WHO cares? illepall

I understand alot of people here really compete in Drift or Auto X and Track Day competitions and fair juice to them, im happy for you's, i would love to take a car to any of them events.

Before you ask what i drive, i drive NATHA thing, i havn't got a car, i was gonna buy a Toyota Supra online from someone.

But i met a problem, here in ireland we have "Little Boy Racers" in america they are called "Ricers", they race around all day on the streets and because of this childish behaviour the insurance for me in a Toyota Supra would be about 10k, i wouldn't even get insurance on a American Muscle car.

What i am getting at is this,

You want to put a Body Kit on your car? Go ahead, you want to flame someone for having a body kit then you do so, but remember that its personell preferance.

Its like Drifting is not a sport and yadda yadda, who cares? I want to drift around a corner then i will, but i have one firm believe.

You want to Drift? Then join a DRIFT server, theres loads of them.
You want to Race? Then join a RACE server, theres loads of them to.
You want to Auto X, YOU GET MY POINT!...

Don't grill someone for having fun, let them do what they want to do.

Anyway as for the original topic.

NOS? No get out of my face, if you need nos, then you need driving lessons, why do people buy Artificial power for there damn cars?

Get a Intercooler, get a Turbo, get whatever you want, but please do not join the NFS and F&F generation of drivers.

As for impressing girls with cars, as was mentioned abit back, if a girl is shallow enough to pick you for your car, will she make you dinner and take care of you when your sick? Ehh no she won't.

I have respect for the people who do there own thing, but i will not show respect to those who stop people from doing there own thing.

The only post needed in this thread was the second post, simply stating there will be no nos as of yet.

Im sorry but if you want nos in a game go get NFS, i understand this game is the ultimate simulator, and i agree totally, but if you can't win driving a car in this game without tapping a button to get more speed, then get another hobbie.

PS: Please don't flame me, im just voicing opionion, and yes i talk alot of nonsence

A late happy birthday to :lfs: S2.

Thank you devs for bringing by far the best car Simulator i have ever seen, i am a Drifter/Auto X Driver in the game, and the feeling of the grip in Auto X, and the Lack of grip in Drifting is truely superb.

A recommendation, maybe put a post up on the Main Site wishing your product a Happy Alpha Birthday

I got my steering wheel, but thanks for the warning, i'll make sure they don't get my hard earned kudos

Im not sure if this company is around where you are, but they have GREAT service for Delivery in Europe.

there called Komplett.

Absolutly fantastic delivery and the products are well packaged.

Warning, i would advise getting DHL so you can Track it, can be handy, but can also be expensive.

I know the last post was ages ago, but hear me out on this (Maybe im been silly)

Ok, first of all i drive on the right hand side in the game and the dials are all fine.

However i think i am right in saying one of the "Key Features" of S2 (I am a aware its in alpha all) was the dashboard would just mirror when you switch drivers side.

So my question is, why doesn't the Fuel Gauge mirror over to the Right hand side under the Speedo.

Maybe im just rambling on, and please tell me if i am, however i think this is actually a major oversight, and if i was a left hand driver i would be very annoyed.

I know many will say (You dont need it) its on the 1-3rpm count.

But in my eyes it isnt about knowing what RPM your reving at, its more a principal that with erics knowledge i am sure can be fixed.

Now i know people will say "Why do you care, you drive on the right hand side" and right you are, its not my place to argue over, however i am a firm believer if someone says "The Dashboard will mirror" then it should mirror.

Again i am aware this is a Alpha test but, i mean it has been a alpha test for a long time, they have changed alot of physics, added a F1 car, changed the F1 dials on cars in the time since the Alpha was released.

Maybe the delelopers should consider changing the Fuel Gauge just to stop people posting this message over and over.

Or even make it a Digital fuel count as we see in the F1 cars?

Anyway, thanks for reading and im not trying to cause any havoc, i just think its a little unfair on the Left Hand driver, i mean there are LOTS of countrys which drive on the left hand side of the car.

You sir, are an idiot now. Especially seeing that he is mailing the money to me, for me to buy him the voucher, so He soon will be S2 registered, not one of the Backtalking demo'ers, like you think he is.

Also, the LFS Devs HAVE made their own app to make tracks, so IN YOUR FACE.

Tell me how many DEMO RACERS on LFS are total retards? They come on the official forum bitching, Maybe an idea for your friend, there is this thing called a Signature he should put in there he plans on getting LFS, Im not a F**king pychic now am i?

And what you mean

Quote :
Also, the LFS Devs HAVE made their own app to make tracks, so IN YOUR FACE.

That is what i was saying you idiot, i said to my knowledge they have made a program.. So what you mean in my face? how so? I said they did you tool.

Quote :
They have their own modeller and format and no they don't have an "easy-to-use" program to edit tracks. If they wanted to allow the public to create thracks they would then need to develop an "easy-to-use" version of their existing tools.

By Easy To Use, i ment for the DEVS it is easy to use, But fair enough flame me for one little sentance.

No Modelling program in the world is easy to use IMHO, But for people who are experianced in 3D Modelling, i would guess it is quite easy.

Quote from wheel4hummer :Well of course they do, how else do you think they would make changes to tracks! LOL! illepall

Well how do they make cars illepall, You think every race simulator in the world has an easy to use program to make tracks?

Answer: No, they use Modelling Programs, However the developers of Live for Speed are "Supposed" to have a easy to use program to edit tracks.

Did you notice that everyone who PURCHASED the game, didn't get real smart and post back crap, however you the DEMO RACER just had to get smart didn't you?

Here's the deal, Buy the game, i will take your insults, but if your gonna sit on the forum and bitch about every single post, then you need to get your bolts tightened.

I think its fine as it is.

I think complaining about the mirrors may be a little bit of Nitpicking.

However now you mention it.. I think when you switch mirrors to Virtual it should turn off the rearview mirror in the cockpit..

I use the Real Dials.. but just a point....

Besides... Who needs mirrors Just keep your foot planted.. they can steer past you

To my knowledge, they already have the tools for it.

But there not releasing them until Live for Speed S3, As you can agree on.

But i think i would be right in saying it will only be for S3 license drivers..

Hi Tweaker,

First of all, thanks for the reply.

I have tried the Power cord things numerous times, Although now you mention it, i have noticed when i move the cable (plugged into back of wheel base) it makes a cracking sounds, almost like its bending the pin?

As for USB, the port defitnally works i have tested, camera's, Mp3 players etc in it, and it works fine.

I do not use a USB hub either.

Its a very odd situation, maybe its just a malfuctioning wheel?

Logitech Momo Acting Weird
Sinister747
S2 licensed
Hi All,

First of all, I have searched the internet and the forum for this, but it hasn't happened to anyone, so maybe someone can help me .

I have had my MoMo now a good while, maybe 6 months or so, for the past 4 months its acting really weird.

When i turn on my computer, it picks it up in the Device Manager, however the steering wheel itself doesn't light up, or in that case even power up, it doesn't have any lights at all, and i can turn the wheel by blowing on it!

I have tried going into Device Manager and installing the drivers (Again) by right clicking on it, removing driver and then installing it again.

It doesn't change a thing, i have tried switch the USB Port, doesn't work either,

I have tried plug out all other USB ports, Doesn't work either.

Now, If i leave the steering wheel for around 30-60 minutes, sometimes HOURS, it then awakes from the dead and powers up (without lights) it just does that calibration thing.

I then need to restart my computer to get it to work.

Soooo, I am 99% Certain it isn't my computer, i have tried looking on Logitechs forums and all, nothing there.

So its gotta be the wheel, anyone have the same problem?, anyone have any idea's i can try maybe?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Quote :Cool, now I have someone to blame next time I mess up fuel strategy.

Two things I noticed:

-The values your program gives are a little optimistic: I don't think 25% fuel will get you through a 5 lap race at Aston National.

-The FOX is much closer to a Formula Renault 2000 than an F3.

Anyway, thx for the prog.

And you would know how exactly? Why do you's persist on posting in the forum.

Unless your a real racer and you registered under a different username (Unlikely)

Hmmm.... Aston + Fox... I wonder.

Well, Im stuck for words.. It is an AMAZING layout

I like the up down and twin drifting is great, and it is a very good track for learning how to dodge on-coming traffic lol.

I have made a few changes however, with the checkpoints and moved a few things (Widened it)

NOTE: superpower could i please ask your permission to maybe put up my revised version of this layout? if not i totally understand, i am just wondering.

Hey, thanks for the reply's heres whats going on,

I am currently in work so not near my wheel however when i do get home i will try all the very helpfull tips above, much appreciated.

However in " mrodgers " screenshot he has his Accelerator & Brake on seperate axis noticed as " Slider 0 & Slider 1 " something like this, if you look at his screenshot my Accelerator and Brake is on the " Y Axis ", but i have the setting he has, i have all the axis that you have, but the pedals are picking up combined on " Y Axis ", any words of wisdom to maybe spark a thought ?..

I appreciate the quick reply's and the dedication in the topic. please feel free to post back thanks,

also can someone please foward a link to the new driver please, i went to the logitech website and into the wheels section but it just has the Wingman Profiler download etc, a link to the patch would be much appreciated, also the wheel seems very heavy on the turn.. any way to losen it up ?

still wont work these are the steps i took.
  1. Opened the Logitech Profiler
  2. Went to profile, clicked my live for speed profile.
  3. Went to Edit, Specific Game Settings, Checked " Use Special Force Feedback Device Settings ", settings all 100% , Checked "Enable Centering Spring ", set it to 100%
  4. Checked " Use Special Steering Wheel Settings " and unchecked " Report Combined Pedals "
Then i reboot my computer, Loaded up LFS, Went to Controls, Wheel , Axis , Set Throttle/Brake Pedals to Seperate and i didnt get any serperate axis for it.. So i followed the steps accuratly i think, and still no luck

I gtg to bed in 15 mins for work so i would appreciate a quick reply so i can sleep with ease.

Regards,
Justin
