If the developer hasnt got the time or cant be assd then do the right thing ^^ ... far as im concerned lfs has died and its shit when you compare it to what is out there now ! which is a great shame

lfs should just be handed over to the comunity so people who want to develop CAN bec nothing is being done, the graphics sucks the cars are out of date!! they could have such a gd thing but ruin it by lack of effort One off payment to buy the sim is why most people are here and not on iracing. you think anyone would bother with Iracing if lfs pulled its thumb out its ass? if the graphics was better eeryone would be here

well after afew years playing lfs im sick of it on so many levels mainly bec i can see the diff to real life.. i tried I racing for the first time at a autosport show & was shocked how much bette it is. just saying adios im out of here I will pop back in 10 years it will still be the same

Hi im wondering if you guys can help...

me and my mate Chris kasch set up a server for our own use.
Problem is we can set the serve rup but I cannot conect to the server... it say's connecting after 5 seconds it says.. connect timed out

its same if I set it up and he try's to connect to me

racing drivers push until you are on the edge some drivers can keep it at that level lap after lap after lap after lap... thats why senna and hamilton were/are so great they can find the limit way above say button who drives within himself "smooth" as its called.

I would rather push the limits & be the fastest than be a button ;/

you guys say knobody has got the tyre physics right yet for a sim!! I rekon you should take a trip to the F1 red bull factory or Mclarens simulator rooms!!! or even i zone based at silverstone

it doesnt get any better than that afew million££ has been spent on precisly replicating what goes on out on track & guess what they dont get the number cruncher developer to try out the updates they get lewis or vettel Shocking that isnt it maybe bec its them who will notice the changes.

point is the tyre temp is the problem the grip ratio feels about right on lfs I just think they should redo the calculations on the way it heats up the tyre the way it does bec it is just plain awful and incorect

See even scawn understands that to create somthing first you must try it yourself.. good on him. he is obviously not foolish enough to think he can create somthign without trying it first

thats also probly why the Fbm is very similar to real life not perfect but great to drive in the sim... maybe bec he knew what it ha dto feel like

thats exactly what doesnt happen and is 100% why LFS is Unrealistic & tyre dynamics and its very frustrating

so your telling me a developer can create a sim using physics without ever having done what he is trying to create?! & that is why sims are so unreal

i fully understand it takes time to develop but how can you develop somthing without first knowing what it is your trying to create!!

You need to know what its like driving on the limit what happends if you go over the limit to be able to creat ethat feeling in the sim..books can only teach you so much

Ive often said that Sims are not realistic bec they are developed by people who dont race in real life!!!

You would go making a Golfing game or a snooker game or a tennis game without getting somone who is very talented at that specific sport involve diwth its creation!! & that is why Lfs will never be clos eto reality shame

He is very similar to hamiltons style attacking corners which is why hamilton is faster than say button...

& as we see this year hamilton had no tyre overheating issues at all bec you can push to the limit thats whats the diff between a great driver and an amazing driver.

if I got hamilton to drive on this sim he would struggle with tyre heat straight away... its not even close to real life. its a shame and i want it improved just like everyone but i fear it will not be right because even the developers dont know whats real are they racers in real life??

Without CURRENT tyre heat in LFS would in my view be a million times better to race on and enjoy.

See thats the point you as a REAL racing driver you go as fast as you can until you either...YOU:

A)spin
B)leave the track width
C)understeer
D)Oversteer

Tyre heat only really comes in as a product of one of the above ABCD...The Heat settings currently are WAY OUT and it makes the cars undrivable at times and certainly unrealstic

Its the HEAT side of it that should not be in place its patheticly unrealistic ... tyres are not made from BUBBLE GUM

I have a friend who got lfs he is a real formula 2 champion himself try out Lfs and he couldnt believe how poor its tyre heat physics were.

Its very poor and im just pointing it out froma real racing drivers point of view.. if you push to the limit you get red hot tyres within laps! which isnt the idea of a sim its meant to be realistic isnt it!?!

First of all Lfs is by all means a brilliant sim.

BUT

The tyre pyhsics are the major issue, In real life you can push to the limit and understeer oversteer ect & not overheat the tyres BUt on lfs you drive like say Hamilton and you get punished for pushing the limits of grip. which is NOT how racing drivers really drive.. a real racing driver pushes and pushes until he feels the car slide and thats why i get so frustrated with lfs you push and you get (red) tyres

if you ask me the best thing you guys could do is TURN OFF the tyre physics that are already in place if it dont work dont use it at all!!!

I love the sim but you need a real racing driver to test these things NOT A SIM driver!!! only a real racing driver would understand where i am coming from.

I was playing with my screen settings in the lfs menu & when i cclicked on a diff resolution it went black screen and say's "cannot display this video Mode"

i CLOSED my lfs and restarte dit and it doesnt even start up its says same thing... "cannot display this video Mode"


how do i change the display settings out of the game before i start it up!?
