Not trying to upstage anybody here, but just for the hell of it I threw together this R6-inspired skin.
I like the idea, but I'm a bit mystified at your color choice. Isn't the traditional Yamaha livery dark blue and white? Also, the text is almost disappearing where it overlaps the logo... I suggest either adding a border or changing the color.

A couple more fantasy skins from me... these are my first time ever working at 2048x2048 and I have to say I'm hooked. I didn't realize what a big difference it could make, detail-wise.
Anyway, the first one is a Maserati (obviously). Since Maserati F1 cars have always been Italian racing red and I didn't want to make a Ferrari clone, I decided to base these on the blue-and-white sports cars instead -- the early 60s Birdcages and the new MC12s.
The second is based on the old Yamaha paintscheme that Kenny Roberts won his GP500 championships on, as well as the throwback scheme they used at the (IIRC) 2005 Laguna Seca race. As far as I'm concerned you can never go wrong with yellow and black.

Greboth: If it's the Le Mans winner it must be '88. I don't think they were even running the XJR-9 yet in '84... it probably would've been the Group 44 car, which IIRC was the XJR-7.

I don't think I've seen this one yet... It's based on (not exact, obviously) the AMG CLK-DTM Jean Alesi used to drive (back in 2003, I believe?) The fake grill may look pretty cheesy in the screenshot but I think it works pretty well in-game.
Nice work. Did they really use that gray Cosworth logo, though? It doesn't show up very well against the green.
Very nice. I've always been a big fan of the black and red Minardis, too. I've been meaning to do a PS02, but I keep getting stymied by my inability to find a good Asiatech logo.

This turned out a little gaudy but I was having a hard time finding a balance between too much and too little. Who says race cars have to be tasteful, though? I think it ended up looking pretty good.
The second is the Jordan that gave Ferrari and McLaren such a scare in 1999. I always loved these bumblebee Jordans, and it's such a pity that they fell so far so fast. This isn't 100% accurate, obviously, but I really liked the way it turned out.

I don't know, but I did one of the '99 Minardi. Unfortunately it ended up looking like I loaded a shotgun with weird little Italian companies and blasted it, but that's their fault, not mine.
I'll have a go at the Veloqx but I can't guarantee it'll get done. The R8 shape doesn't exactly lend itself to the BF1.
Yours isn't an R4, though -- at least, not any of the versions I saw while researching. It's more fun to paint your own than download anyway, isn't it?

A nice simple one for the XR GT, based on the Bemani Supra that raced in ETCC in 1988. Nothing fancy (at all), but I like the look. (Also, less room for teaz-R to do a 300% better one

I'm surprised I haven't seen this yet... JGTC Cusco Impreza for the FXO GTR. Not perfect, obviously; I left a bunch of stuff off because it either didn't fit or the car was just getting cluttered. I think it looks pretty good, though.
Is anyone else doing a Super Aguri skin? I've got one in progress but it's not looking so hot. I'm not sure I'll bother finishing it.
