Some of us like to present ourself with our real names. We have nothing to hide. We are not ashamed of what we do on track or in chat. Nicks come and go easy. Real names do not.
I came from the GPL community. Way back then, we used our own names. We became a bunch of people that will never forget eachother - because we know eachother as Eldred Pickett, Greger Huttu, Gabor Weber, Andreas Wilke etc. How can you remember a person calling himself (---(2F@St)&wItH$iNsIgHt---)? And how can you distingwish him from the nick "FooL3D y0u"?
If people raced and posted under their real names, then I guess people would behave more like they do in real life.
I guess male drivers that show unwanted attention to girls racing sims online does that because they lack the guts to approach a girl in real life.
