Ok first off, I have not read the entire thread for obvious reasons so this issue has probably been addressed before. Secondly I am a big fan of Papyrus and Dave Kaemmer all the way back to Indy500 and have been following the development of the iRacing-sim since it was first announced.

But, MY problem with iRacing is that you first have to buy all the content for a ridiculous amount of money but still don't own it. Because then you MUST pay a subscription to even have a private practice session. That's a 100% rip-off in my book.

Paying a subscription to race in their leagues is an ok deal, but having to pay extra money, if my league-subscription's run out, just to have a few private laps; FORGET IT! It's never gonna happen!

But, allow private practice sessions without having to subscribe and I would join iRacing at once!

Just my view. Anybody else feel this way?

Thanks. That was the thread I was looking for But why didn't it show when searching for patch x10 or patch x 10? Where is this thread located?

And didn't Scawen use to make these patch-threads sticky in the LFS Programmers Forum?

New X10-patch!?

I haven't raced on-line for a while and when logging on today I noticed there was a new patch out (X10). Since it's downloadable from ingame I suppose it's official and stable. Right?

But I can't find any info anywhere on this forum or the official LFS-site about the changes from X to X10. Why not (I did search for X10 and came up with nothing)? And what are the changes?

I take that as a NO then;-)

Yes, LFS is a game with on-line gaming in mind, but I don't think I'm the only one that's doing some hotlapping off-line occasionally.

Unfortuately my off-line laps are not at lfsworld.net unless I upload them. It just seems logical and convenient to have a "best laptimes" feature in-game, and not having to upload laps, going on-line, logging in to lfsworld to check them out.

As for the rewind feature I'm sure there has got to be a workaround. Even on-line races need the replay. Having a incident on lets say lap 18, and being forced to fastforward a minute or so to watch it ONCE can be prett annoying.

Don't get me wrong though. I really like LFS, the physics, the focus on on-line gaming and the fact that it has an ongoing development. I just feel that these features should have found its way into the game already

Replay-function & hotlap-chart?

LFS is a very good racing-game, but I'm amazed that it still has no proper replay-functions (rewind, cut etc) or in-game chart for best laptimes.

Is this something we will see in the near future?
