Improved the wheel 3D model that I've made the past year. Now the wheels are also using a different model between front and rear.

While working on making the car skinnable, I was aware that I couldn't use the steel pattern texture provided by Stuchlo along with a skin, but I stupidly forgot that I was already using a 50% transparent texture to handle the reflections of the steel body. So I was wondering: why do we need to use a transparent texture to handle how much reflection we want from the same "Metal" material? Can we have a few more materials that are less reflective than this one but still more reflective than a "Paint" or "Glass" material? Like 25%/50%/75% at least, so to avoid using any texture just to handle the reflections? Or even better maybe, what about having the possibility to manually tweak the reflection amount with a simple slider, using custom material settings instead of the existing presets?

Quote from stuchlo :Very nice mod, with a slightly more detailed interior, it would be perfect Smile Stainless steel is really difficult to recreate. I did a few experiments myself, here is a material from my old Jag, if you would like to try it (based on chrome material).

Many thanks for your feedback Smile As for your steel material, the texture is supposed to be used as a pattern, is that correct? So that it would mean that the body wouldn't be skinnable. I'm thinking of making it skinnable in the future, so I'm not sure about what to do yet. If we had 2 UV channels to use in LFS then maybe I could have patternized the body and made it skinnable at the same time.

Regarding the interior I'm modeling some parts for it in these days Big grin

Is there precision loss about the coordinates of the vertexes?

Quote from Pukyy :...suits are visible like 0.001% of the time...

Suits are visible the entire time on vehicles like bikes, karts, buggies etc.

Improved the headlights aswell. Gave them a more accurate outer shape and optimized the internals by lowering the polycount a little bit and closing the gaps.

I modeled some exterior parts that weren't accurate or had missing details on the original Sketchfab model:
- Side vents behind the doors
- Side vents behind the rear windows
- License plate bezel (originally flat, I first reshaped it in LFS Editor time ago, then I now remade it again in Blender with better result)
- Resized, moved and fixed (I did properly align its vertexes in Blender) the front emblem
- Modeled panel gaps where missing (hood, trunk, front end, rear end, side trim, sideskirts)
- Fixed the design and proportions of the engine cover and (rear) hood

Here are some screens of the wheels that I did previously model, I forgot to post pics of them.

As others have suggested, I think having personal (unlimited) in-game tags or lists would be a good way to sort vehicles.
Maybe a button can be added in the "Mods" screen, that will lead to a separate screen for the lists/groups of mods.

Hi Stuchlo, I just wanted to ask: how is the work for the remastered version going? Smile
Stuttering with vertical sync or FPS limiter
Silver Razor
S3 licensed
I'm experiencing some stuttering when having vertical sync enabled in full screen mode (same with the fps limiter enabled to 60fps in windowed mode). It happens mostly in detailed areas of certain tracks like the buildings part of the Blackwood car park. If i disable the vertical sync or fps limiter, the game seems to run with less stuttering, i'm stable over 200+ fps, topping at 270+ fps. Just in case, my cpu is a Ryzen 7 5800X.

Gilera Typhoon 50

The Gilera Typhoon is a scooter/moped initially sold under the Gilera brand since '93, then later (since '00) under the Piaggio brand.
Currently, my plan is to model a race version for track usage, based on the first generation 50cc model (it was also sold as 80cc and 125cc from factory), but with a 100cc engine kit (Roost or Malossi). The power output of such kits in real life is of, more or less, 35 hps.
I would love to make a second version of it, completely stock, but since LFS doesn't correctly simulate the CVT transmission at the moment, I don't really feel motivated in doing it.
I also have modeled some first gen Gilera Runner 12" wheels for it (which are necessary for the usage of Dunlop TT92GP tires in real life for track usage, the Typhoon originally has 10" wheels) and I'm finishing the front forks which are Malossi F32 ones, therefore not stock.

I'm not a fan of the current matte material, it really lacks of depth, hence why I tried something different. Not so long ago I made a test in the Editor, and with the new upcoming shaders I can make the steel body look like this which I think it's really nice, but the new shaders are not in the game yet so we have to wait for this result.

Hi, I'm currently working on this DMC DeLorean.
The 3D model is made by Daniel Zhabotinsky, downloadable from Sketchfab:

Wheels are modeled by me, as the factory wheels were not available with the model.

Pitch-modulated collision sounds (scraping, tire skids etc.) depending by the speed of the collision. For example, tire skids at high speeds to have an high pitch compared to skids at slow speeds.
