Well, don't know if it's really the same bug of the starting post, but surely it's a "Wrong race stats" thing.
These are my October online race stats after clicking on 30th of Oct.: http://www.lfsforum.net/attach ... mp;stc=1&d=1162455506
And this is what happens after clicking on 29th of October:
Note that all October days are grayed...have to go back one month to reenable them.
Tested with Firefox 1.5, 2.0 and IE6 on both XP and Windows 2000.
Thank you.
AFAIK it is possible to assign mouse to "Steer Left/Right" control in joy/wheel setup screen. I've done that when I was a mouse driver since I played with steer degrees (and steer compensation=0) in order to obtain more precision from mouse.
agreed 100%.
Men take it easy, this "cheat sport" is coming to an end very soon; I don't care of 5 mins lost for banning someone every now and then (it tooks only 5 mins to spot a cheater....). It seems to me that cheating in simracing is far less significant than in FPS (as it seems that is your background): apart from thousands of sprint races you could have in public server for training and improving knowledge of track/car combos, IMHO the essence of online racing are the leagues you can join so...IMHO there can't never be cheating in leagues (apart from "classical non hardcore light cheats" like driving aids, views etc. used but not allowed by the league, that's why some of us are asking for more dedicated server OPTIONS).
Grand Parents Team.
The team born in the 2001 when partecipate at the first CIGPL (Italian GPL championship). Today his members play in different championships with different on line racing games.
Hey man calm down please I think your answer is a little bit angry, please read the beginning of my message (perhaps my english was not good....illepall).
OK for Nutter....but there's still NOTHING in single car ranks and MHR too.
Well, really not a bug but IMHO a lack of update. The new Aston tracks are not part of any Rank (Nutter too).
Sorry for having posted here, but I couldn't find any proper place (perhaps improvement suggestions?)
Bye and respect to Victor (great job with LFSW site the coolest site IMHO in the scene)
Infact I was discussing about PHYSICAL DATA and the "Definitely no.." referred to physical data contained in SPRs. So said it's perfectly clear that old replays won't be of any use with next patch.
That's not true (at least for SPRs) and you know it.......think about how it would be possible to "Test drive" the SPR with only the parameters you said...without any physics data
Ok sirs, I must admit I overevaluated the code development stage. My thought was: "Well the new patch is announced, so it's almost completed, some weeks of internal testing and it is out......oooh wait wait it'll be out at least when LFSWorld will be ready...ouch some new stuff for Victor to take care..".
OK my apologizes for having misunderstood that.
Still valid my last point of the post.
P.S. to all of those who underlined devteam division of the job....I knew it, but you know results are out when all team members are ready all single jobs are done. I still think LFS is not just LFS.exe but a software system (LFSWorld is part of it too).
Well mr Orion, sorry to say that but:
- SMSing for sure delayed and will delay the patch release date (doesn't it involves some LFSWorld updating itself ?..don't think next patch it's simply some dbtable deleting about hotlaps from Victor's side). is it rock solid? I hope so, but unfortunately some debugging will be necessary.
- S3 was and I hope will remain the final goal of this MARVELLOUS project. But PLEASE don't sit down and watch off the window, thinking LFS is just so good at this stage. Hundred people publishers/software houses are not the only alternative, other "rebels" developers (not only Casillo & co) are facing the simracing scene. It would be a pity to loose "rebels" leadership sitting on road's milestone watching your beautyfull shoes and in the meantime the bus left.....
Hi all,
it would be marvellous to have the opportunity to save a race log in a XML file (like it's done in rFactor, as a model of raceinfo data) or even better producing a template based html race report (LFSStats like), it doesn't seem hard to implement (thinking of an option like the actual "save replay" at the end of every race) and would help a lot in championship's management (no need to wait for ALL replay to go in order to generate race report via LFSStats). Would be great at least in the dedicated server along with autosave-replay and some incident/pit/reset info.
Keep up the good work and let's take some good hint from other's work
I have the same wheel (Wingman FF GP) and have had that problem plus weird shaking while standing by on track.
Solved it setting "Wheel turn" under "Options" to 180 deg. (it seems natural as this would be the phisic steering angle of our wheel, but for some reason I forgot to set it properly on first wheel install; default is 270 deg. as for the majority of wheels out there)
Hope you solve it too.
Mighty smith,
first of all thank you for this great tool .
I want to ask you if it is possible to add an extra report at bottom showing if someone during an mpr pitted (shift+s). It seems to me that this information is contained in a race tracking packet with ID IS_PLP. It'll be usefull for league replay supervisors as usually noone is allowed to pit with shift+s but anyone have to drive to pits.
Ok sirs at last I've found the solution.
Unfortunately it involves launching LFS from Wingman Profiler (which I wouldn't prefer...as it throws other problems sometimes).
I've set in the profiler's LFS profile under Steering wheel properties "Sensitivity"=50% "Dead Zone"=2% and magically my wheel stopped that crazy shaking. Hope it works for you too.
Thank you for lightspeed answer, I'll test it tonight at home, it seems to me I've already tested it but I'll try again. I'm still wondering to know if it's possible to invert ff in LFS (or this is the so called option eg. in F1C).
Tested it and it doesn't solve the problem, too much wheel lag with that Analog smooth value. I think there would be a combination of Control Panel/LFS Options which solves this strange behaviour. Those evil racing games (not simulations :P f1ch, rfactor and so on...I'm just kidding) don't suffer of this problem.
Hi all,
till my purchase of Logitech Wingman Formula Force GP I had a strange behaviour of force feedback: when idling on track my wheel keeps oscillating (starting with 10 degrees with 2-3 Hz frequency) and sometimes keeps going from lock to lock if I don't stop it. Very disappointing (I can't chat with 2 hands on keyboard when I'm idle on track). I had this problem in other racing games, but for instance in rFactor I solved it setting overall force strength to -75%. Is there something I can change for inverting ff in LFS too?
Actually my Options->Control force strength is set to 60%.
Any help would be appreciated.
Bye
