I have found that my g25 has so much play in the gearing that its sloppier that a big wet sloppy thing.
I'm not sure that is your problem but it sound like its hardware I hope I'm wrong.
I agree, tyres get too warm too easy for my liking, I'd prefer more durability in the heat cycle of the tyre with less heat build up.
There is the argument that smoother drivers will loose an advantage but I find I can't drive flat out for long with our cooking the rubber which winds me up some what. I love LFS but IMO Rfactor and the tyres not loosing so much grip when hot does a better job than LFS but that's the only area its better.
Its a shame when its such an easy thing to change, giving more heat durability, I mean wouldn't that make for better all round racing while giving drivers the ability to improve their high speed driving due to a more stable car at longer intervals. I think LFS tyre parameters holds drivers back in a lot of ways and stops drivers finding their true speed.
Maybe 15 or 20% better heat resistance / grip loss
Thus giving the ability to drive flat out and let the driver make errors rather than going off because the tyres are hot enough to cook an egg on would be a step forward IMO
For those who argue the other way maybe introducing more of an negative effect from large flat spots, that would deal with the idiot drivers getting more grip and help the smoother drivers keep their skill advantage?
SO A better and more neiagtive FFB effect for flat spots and punctures and 15-20% better heat management on the rubber please
I just built a machine for my mate who also races LFS.
The machine is almost the same spoec as mine but with an 8800gtx where mine is a 7900.
I must say the is not any difference in LFS from his to mine and I run 3 screens, it just shows that LFS is mainly CPU power, although a better Graphics card will help me in many ways I'm not going to change yet.
Edited, should say CPU power and memory bandwidth, meaning the backend of the graphics card
Hi guys,
I need to know if the UK loigtech momo adapters are AC or DC.
My friend has picked up the red momo from canada but needs an adapter as he has blowen his up.
Any ideas?
John
Hi guys, This is my first post on this forum although I have been driving LFS for about a year now. I remember reading that LFS has about monitors about 40 levels/angles of the tyre circumference? I noticed today while driving the F1 that the tyre has angled edges to the edge of the rubber and there looks to be about 40 or so. The next thing i noticed while rolling the car backwards at very low speed is that the car "seemed" to bounce ever so slightly as the car moved backwards. I then got to wondering if the does the tyres 40 or so tiny angles actually transmit and rebound into the suspension.
I run my lfs in 1600x1200 so I can see quite a lot of fine detail
