i'd never take part in such a league since these always attract all those fast guys and i'll never beat them.
anyway, what i'd ABSOLUTELY LOVE to see would be something like the formula one of LFS: an international league with the BF1, entry fee, every race broadcasted for free via the web that should attract the best LFS drivers and teams from around the world.
there should be realistic rules to make the racing more interesting and serious (like: no constant shift+p pitting during qualification, cars should be forced to enter the pits by actually driving there. or: no simple shift+p or spectating during the race either, cars should drive into the pits to give up or if they get stuck/are demolished there should be safety-car like in SHAC-07 and the wreck should be taken care of by a service car.)
some 64 old mercedes driver wasn't happy with the repair bill, came to the dealer to discuss it, wasn't happy with the outcome, pulled out a submachinegun, shot at the manager and another worker, missed them, they fled, a woman feinted, the shooter was arrested.
no, but i have often ernough started to avoid products because of the stupidity of their adverts.
no, i'm usually wondering whether the ad guys really think i'm that stupid.
no.
no.
all in all, even if i apprectiate some well made ads, but even then i view them isolated from the product and i usually don't change my view on the product.
the Sauber F1 is run by BMW Sauber and was put into LFS to request from their sponsors in order to do the Intel Racing Challenge thingy. therefore we cannot conclude that there is a real connection between the BMW Sauber F1 team and the LFS devs.
furthermore, the WTCC efforts are run by Belgian Team RBM (priaulx "Team UK car") and Schnitzer Motorsport (both müller's "BMW Team Germany" cars.)
thus there is hardly any connection between the F1 programme and the WTCC one, except that both use BMW cars...
apart from that however, i'd love to see something like a WTCC class in LFS. i think that would make for an extremely rewarding racing experience. something inbetween the GTR class and the TBO class, not quite as powerful as the GTRs, but with the same slick tyres and a bit more nimble, which would allow for very tight racing.
in LFS i really feel connected to the car and the front wheels, while in GTR i feel like something is lacking. even with the nice cockpits and the (half of the time) great sounds i don't feel as immersed.
are they mechanical? then just forget about getting much power from them. the distance travelled by the discs is much smaller than the one travelled by the rim, therefore the brakes have to grip with much more force, which is difficult to apply with a cable. hydraulic ones are much better (and last longer as well.)
if they don#t grip at all, they're probably worn or dirty.
it actually works in LFS, but only by accident...i was once wildly hammering on the horn, when the race suddenly restarted...the funny thing was. on my PC the horn went of, but for all the other people on the server the horn stayed switched on. now it was an RX race and nobody could tell me during the race that my horn was stuck, and they thought i was doing that on purpose...i got some mad messages after the race was over.
then you should make your point clearer sinde i am in no way interested in any stupid argument. i'm not even an oval racer.
i just asked you what the total distance travelled told you about a person's experience and ability. what practical purposes exactly did you use the stats for?
