It does jump if your ratios are somewhat realistic, but neither the ignition system nor the starter motor are implemented properly (that is, physically accurate), so all the starter motor does is apply a predefined amount of force (torque) to the engine (which itself is only a minimalistic model) once per virtual key rotation.

I don't own a wheel with clutch, like Logitech G25 for example, so I have questions about that: If you release the clutch pedal too fast, does the car jerk like in real? Is the clutch just like "gear engaged, or not engaged" (on / off) or is there a big sliding area between it, like in a real car?

Thanks, didn't know about auto-clutch. Now it's working almost as it should. I just wonder why the car doesn't jump forward a bit when started in first gear?

Hello,

I have a few questions regarding the behavior of LFS cars.
Why is it possible to crash into a wall with 200 km/h (124 mph) and still continue to drive? I hope LFS team will make this more realistic.
When accelerating in a higher gear than appropriate, LFS automatically starts from 3000 rpm (in XF GTI) or even 4000 rpm (BMW FB02).
Even with manual gearbox, thats what is annoying me. Why dont they let start the gears at idle speed, or let it stall if gear is too high?
After having done this a few times, the car doesn't accelerate anymore, only revs up. Probably the gearbox broke? But when I did this to a real (old) car,
it didn't break that early, maybe it would have broken after 50 times, but not after 3 tries, so is this realistic?
(Don't worry, I don't usually treat real cars that bad...)
Are these race cars clutchs more sensitive than normal cars?
Why doesn't the car stall when started in any other gear than neutral?
