does it support different monitors?

eg a 24" dell and 2 x 19" lcds? or do they all have to be the same?

thats very very cool, i want to do this for my cockpit

i would love too see a right up detailing how you did this (if you could :-) )

also how much does that screen cost?, i have been trying to do this with an old LCD screen (LIS lcd panel) without much luck

thanks!

one small idea i have had is that if you want a cheap low bandwith solution to the problem is that for each "client" to use outsim data and then transfer each of these to another host, which then could stream too another server

and then use in sim (i think this is caperble) to get coordinates and have it overlayed on a map (like replay analyser)

dunno if this is possible but just an idea, kinda like the pit boards that F1 would have also another cool use s that for th eple with dual monitors to use a seperate monitor for all the rubish like map's, tyre temps, fuel etc and whack them on yur second screen leaving your main screen clutter free!

Quote from tristancliffe :Most people don't actually know what black ice IS, let alone how to predict/recover from it, and TC won't save you if you drive along blissfully unaware of the threat.

nope, tc wont save you but vsc/vsd or what ever the manufacture calls is will

ABS on the other hand has real world benefits. I myself still like to NOT have it, as I have learnt how to cadance brake in emergency situations (and I've tested it succesfully too). But 99% of people don't even know what cadance braking is, let alone how to do it. They just see a Go pedal and a Stop pedal, and to stop quicker, no matter what the situation, they press Stop harder and harder. Thus ABS works in reality. TC just spoils the fun. In the UK one of the few things that isn't directly forbidden is acceleration. It is perfectly legal to accelerate as fast as any car is capable of, though you might get booked for driving without due care and attention.

ABS is one thing VSD is another, no matter how good you are, or how good you think you are YOU cannot individually brake each wheel, have a look at one of the old fifth gear episode's tiff (ex f1 driver) takes a jag with VSD onto a swedish iced lake and trys to go around 3 obsticles at 80 mph, the first time without VSD, he ends up in the snow banks, the second time with vsd, he just carmly turn around them, vsd work by individually braking the wheels and PREVENTING understeer and oversteer, any idiot can do emergency swerves under heavy braking and can turn the car as if there driving normally, have a look at the test you will be surprissed

Quote from Sketch :locked diffs in fwd rally cars are common as. I don't see what all the fuss is about. in rwd locked diffs are way more predictable handling wise, whilst less forgiving on tyres. but tyres are easy to replace right... :P i got a mechanical locker in my fourbie and will atest that it does make steering more heavy esp at low speeds but i have no idea how this would affect steering at 'higher' speeds. but i think locked FWD certainly adds predictability in LFS, whether its realistic is another matter.

if you have air lockers (or any other lockers ) in your 4x4 dont ever EVER drive on tarmac, or anything above 20 kmh, otherwise you WILL snap driveshafts, diffs and basically every part of your drive train is vunerable

in real life you wouldnt be able to use locked diff in a racing car because there would be way way too much pressure on drive parts and the car wouldnt make a lap driving hard, lfs dosent emulate this, and this is why we can get away with this

see the problem is that the 105 people have gotten it have directly from the birds (aka no human to human transfers)

the problem is if the virus mutates and is transfuarble between humans, if that happens were pretty farked and expect 10,000's to millions of people to get depending on the spread and if its countained

now the mentality of just dont worry about it till it happens is abit stupid, currently we have vaccines being developed and almost at the stage of being into production (my job is too dispense human flu vaccine, 1 of 3 places in the world if i remeber correctly) and hopefully being able to vaccinate whole populations is something i would want personally
