Just wanted to say thanks for the triple screen support. I've been using SoftTH and three 19" monitors for a while but it's never looked this good. z18 really allows me to line things up for a realistic view. I've found that by nosing my car directly into a straight wall or fence I can adjust the left and right monitors so that the alignment is spot on. Excellent work!
In the LX Month Competition Current Standings website - http://competition.lfs.net/lx_autox/ - there is an unnamed column to the right of the Lap Times column. It seems to contain only "w" and "m". What do these represent?
Nevermind. I found the problem. I deleted the old 430 driver and all folders and reinstalled 460 and it works fine now.
Original message:
I've just purchased the Driving Force PRO. I've installed the 460 driver. It works fine in rFactor but in LFS the shift paddles do not work properly. Pressing the left paddle causes the chat message for F1 to be displayed. Pressing the right paddle causes the chat message for F2 to be displayed. When I try to assign the Shift UP and Shift Down functions in the controls it doesn't recognize the paddles. It will recoginze the stick shift, but I'm too used to the paddles.
I'm from Albany - 'bout 190 miles South of you. I haven't been able to get anyone else locally to try LFS. They just don't get it - staying with NR2003.
I've had the TrackIR 3 Pro with Vector Expansion for a while now and I really like it. I found it very easy to get used to. If I forget to load the software I just have to quit the game and get it loaded -I don't even want to practice without it. The imersion factor is greatly enhanced by it.
