T1 ist the most dangerous part in demo.
New players mostly do several mistakes such as:
Forcing Forward:
If other players slow down in front of you, they maybe got a good reason to do so - such as not to crash into other cars. Beginners mostly think its a good chance to overtake and end up with 3 cars next to each other in a really tight corner.
Ignoring Mirrors:
New players simply ignore them or dont recognize cars next to them. They would move at any side they want if they think they are faster there.
Blocking:
Many new players simply do block overtaking users. That often ends up in a crash as well, or a hit from behind. it is - by AA rules - only allowed to change the line once - and also its forbidden to directly block and cause accidents.
If you are outside in T1 and want to drive to the inside, be sure you will end up in a crash. Others will use the inside line as well.
Why will they? Because they also got cars behind them, which would maybe try to push forward. They can not brake earlier and let you simply take the whole outside and inside line. So you must think for more then only your car.
But nevermind, a ban shouldnt be the default punishment. For first a gentle hint/warning from limad, then if ignored a kick -> and only if that didnt had any effect - a temporary ban for some hours. Also limads usually dont ban for longer then 12 hours. Only people who crash on purpose get banned more long.

Im playing LFS since like 2008. Due a break of some months, i forgot the password of my account and created a new one. Ever since im playing almost every day.
I saw fantastic players and had alot of fun.
After a hard day, there are 3 things im looking forward.
My Girlfriend, a beer and playing LFS. Sometimes everything at the same time.
It was kind of hard, especially to play with keyboard from the beginning.
It took me like 2 or even 3 years to drive 1.13 times on FBM.
Even as winning a race is always nice, sometimes its fine to me just to drive. Im not aiming for perfect stats or something like that.
I just enjoy LFS. Its one car, one track, and many players are the same. But until now it was enough for me.
But i think its time to give it a try for S1/2.
It would be fantastic to expand the joy and fun of LFS on new tracks, with new cars.
I hope that wasnt too much of my writing

Thanks for the replies, sometimes i do 1.12 and yeah ..
But others go for 1.12.30, WR is 1.11.88 or so ....
I cant reach that times, no matter what or how i try it ..
Thats why im asking for any improvement, specially about lines
And yeah, ive compared my lines to others, but they seem to be simply faster in any way.
Even as i use same setups, exactly the same lines and whatever.
Also they do reach 217, 218 max speed on the long straight line, my max is 216.5 with a 154 output after 2nd turn in sc1.
I dont get it, even on perfect shifting mhh ..
But others go for 1.12.30, WR is 1.11.88 or so ....

Hey guys, im playing LFS (Demo) since 2 years or so.
Its kinda fun to me, and somehow i always stay on the demo (will buy S3 then).
Im on keyboard (yes ...)
But actually im curious about how to improve my times.
I post this in the beginners forum because i THINK im a beginner.
My PB is 12.72 with draft, 12.82 without draft (dont know how i managed).
Whatever, ive uploaded a youtube video to show you an example of my driving, and to ask you guys where i could try to improve a little.
