ok i have the update patch for lfs p-u but im not sure where to unzip it to , i unzpped it on the main foler where everything else is but when i click the icon in the update folder it gives me this

error:
Could not open file : data\skins\XFG_DEFAULT.jpg

anyone know how to fix this?

all we did was download it from LFS then it took us to miror sites and we chose the american mirror. then we went to multiplayer after we extracted all the files then it said cannot load humans?

my friend tried to get into the multiplayer server but it keeps sayin cannot load humans, does anyone know whats wrong or how to fix it?

yes but it says corrupted name reply on the multiplayer server.

ok so my friend has a problem, and he dowloaded LFS last night and i told him to make sure he got the patches, but when he clicks multiplayer he said it says cannot find humans" any idea what needs to be done?

is there anyone who knows how to fix this proble,? any help would be great.

ok for some reason when i hit refresh list on multiplayer it will only load like 10-15 servers, then at the top left corner it says CORUPTED NAME REPLY

Before I used to get like 200+ servers but now im only getting like 14-20 servers to show up.

My connection is fine but theres not as many servers as there where before.

is this happening to anyone else or is it just me?


P.S. another problem my friend said he had was that he downloaded LFS last night but when he goens into multiplayer it says cannot connect human players, or something like that. any idea whats up with it?

ok i went o master skinners but it cant read so im stuck with paintshop. is there any one who uses painshop to make skins. i need help on fitting the pics i want on the car so they dont show up choped off and moved in the game. when i try to use the skin i made. i can see part of it on my car but its upside down,through the window. ect. and i can see the car template itself on the car body. can someone that uses paintshop help me please. much thanks.

im using paintshop and editing templates. I tried to resize the pic i wanted by draging the corners in and out just to fit the door. the hood pic came out fine but on the side of the door its choped off and up on the window. and i can see the template it self on the car. like when you edit it has the car outline. when i play the game i can see the parts of the template on my car..

ok not realy sure on how to make a skin fit perfectly. but the way i did it was i took a templ8 from the lfs file skins folder and edited a template. what i did was i took the picture adn just shrank it to fit on the side of the car door. (paint shop- dotted line box apears around target to resize)
I did this for the photos i did not change any size of the car template it self. the skin will show but when in the game the stuff thats supposed to be on the door is on the front side bumper and cut off the same with teh back. can someone help me plz.

ok weird i can see the lable name in the game but when i choose the skin its just plain white. it doesnt have the picture i pasted on it. can someone help me.

i pasted it in skin lfs2/data/skins

how can i resize it? i have regular paintshop pro. the only thing i resized was the picture i pasted on the car. but if i need to resize the whole template. were do i do so and how larg do i have to make it?

ok i made a skin but when i put it into the data/skin file i click on it and you cant see the picture its just a small squar with a red X in the top left corner. and i tried to load it on lfs.net but it says

"I'm sorry. For some reason I cannot handle your file. Please check if it conforms to the skin-file requirements."

and i made it from a plain white preexisting skin already on lfs. someone help plz

k i think i figured it out but when i put them on the templ8 their kinda of distorted and have white dots on em and are kinda choped. how can i get a perfect pic. tryin to find out how to do it so i can have a private personal skin to be unique.

ok instead of starin from scratch I found a plain white skin already existing on lfs. i want to just take that and copy and past the pic i want on there but it wont do it. I have i think regular paint shop pro. i find the skin templ8 then right click and hit edit to go to paint shop pro. then i click copy on the photo i want but i cant past it to my car templ8 can someone help me plz

how can i take a preexisting plain white car skin and take a picture from like a movie or anime character and use it on my car. I want to take a picture off the net like mabe a group photo of the Formula D ravers and have it placed on both sides of my car and on the hood.

how do you make and apply skins to your car. I found some that the person said i could use but i dont know how to use them to make them show up on my car. plus how can i make my own and apply it to my car.

I think it would be good to have longer lasting tyres fro the drifters. and if a track could be made for the demo users. just for drifting

on mine my firewall and popup blocker are both on at all times and mine still works fine.

(this is gonna sound stupid but) would the cable being set to LAN or internet have any role in this problem. my friend is running on SBC YAHOO DSL. highspeed. any one got any ideas or know exactly what to do?
