2-wheeled stuff floats my boat mostly. Games like SBK2001 & GP500.
Also play LFS of course and some GTR2 & GTL
No rFactor yet until the bikes get made, which reminds me.
Where's the 2-wheel physics for LFS?
Great post.
I'm a biker at heart and really only plop down some cash for a cage driver game if it really gives me that feeling of control that seems real.
Only 5 sims still on my PC get close to that:
LFS, GPL, NR2003, GP500 & SBK 2000, 2001. (OK 6, SBK2000 has some tracks that can't be missed).
LFS Dad here too.
My 11 year old daughter loves just cruising around in midtown madness on the xbox but I never have been able to get her actually race me very often. She just like to cruise around and pretend she's practicing for her real license test.
Why do all posts about bikes in a sim or bike games in genreal have to come down to "it'll never be real if they don't put countersteering in it"?
Although I agree that to be an uber real sim like some of the car games are getting to be, a bike game will have to have countersteering in it. But right now the only bike games that come close being a simulation are both 6-8 years old...we've got a long way to go to get bikes to the same place that cars are currently at.
If bikes get in the game at S3 then an editor of some sorts is released, then, well. lol, then we'll have a good base to make a bike sim.
