I'm sure it would be welcomed by the devs/lfs community, but most Top Gear viewers probably couldnt care less about PC racing sims. Although LFS is more realistic than GT4, it is still nowhere near as popular, because GT4 is more accessible and has all the real-life cars/tracks to begin with, which is probably why they featured it previously.
It was just a bit of fun dude. That race was done mainly to show the difference between the cars. Plus Best Motoring fans will tell you that Tsuchiya always hates to lose.
I think LFS already covers most classes. But some more rally stuff would be cool - maybe some cars based on the terrifying group B spec monsters of the 80's, such as the MG Metro 6R4. Or maybe some hill-climbing/pikes peak-style cars and tracks would be interesting too.
One problem is when your watching a replay from a third-person view, as a car zooms past (like the Sauber) you can hear the noise as if you were sat in the cockpit. That isnt right.
Noob question. Is there any way you can bind the paddle shifters and the gear stick at the same time? Cos some cars I prefer to use the stick and other cars the shifter buttons, and it would be nice not to have to keep re-binding the buttons all the time.
Sorry for asking, but I notice people use an extra pedal as a clutch...with paddle shifters - why? Wouldnt that just make you slower? Dont see the point tbh, unless you had a proper manual gearbox.
