Just watched the 2014 Bathurst 1000, and boy was it **** awesome! I have gradually quit watching every form of motorsport because the regulations have made them **** boring (WRC is just a boring rally sprint contra rallying in 80's and 90's, in F1 the best cars always win, and the drivers get away and even win championships by cutting and crashing, and the last straw on camel's back with F1 was the series **** up with the tyres and thus totally changing the competition mid-season, BTCC been a demolition derby for long time, etc), but man was this year's Bathurst an interesting race! Probably the best I've ever seen! It was really awesome to sit still and watch the ever-flowing action lap after lap after lap for 6 hours (ads removed), and not just any action, but action of even cars that have been designed to provide interesting top notch racing (with solid axels, 650 bhp, and stuff) and with drivers and supportive race control who really appreciate the concept of racing etiquette. WOW! This was my 5th or 6th Bathurst 1000, but I guess I also have to start following more races of this class...

OT: True, they would handle like shit, but IMO they would be more fun to race than now, as the current setup possibilities combined to the minor physic flaws make unrealistic driving a necessity if you want to keep up with the others.

Maybe they brag about things outside of LFS, because there HAPPENS VERY LITTLE inside LFS. I bet I'm not the only one whose wheel is collecting dust somewhere. And I don't understand all the fuzz around this Scirocco, yet another boring FWD that will change things only for a week or two....

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the developement speed, but isn't it an obvious explanation for the forum behaviour? There's just nothing to discuss apart from some user created content like leagues and addons. If one would read through improvement suggestions, he could build a visualization of a perfect sim - everything has been suggested and talked through at the theoretical level. Without any significant action from the dev side - one could claim that "LFS is dying", even if it's not.

Stupid or not, the fact is, that without experimentations like KERS in racing, we may not have turbochargers, 4WD, anti-lock brakes or even windshield wipers in our automobiles.

Heck, without racing we might not even drive petrol powered automobiles. And when oil ends to exist on the earth, without racing and new experiments our future automobiles would be much worse.

Noticed the same thing after the recent Finnish school shootings - the media has absolutely no responsibility of what they write. Like if somebody at the murder scene yells "the body of the school principal was raped by a berserk pink wearing gay", in five minutes it's on, at least, all the tabloid magazines' websites - presented not as a quote but as an absolute truth. Then if the info is later confirmed wrong, the false statement just gets edited away and everyone is happy. I'm damn sure, that German tabloids are making hundreds of thousands, if not millions of extra euros today, because every other German citizen wants to read how sweet and promising footballer that Herman or Claudia they never even knew was, or see if there is any blood visible in the pics. In case it happens again, basic steps of virus cleaning:
1. Back up your documents
2. Turn off system restore and delete the restore points
3. Download and install n+1 different tools (the best ones vary every year)
4. Boot into safe mode and run these tools

Or get Linux and forget all the hassle.
