Despite the fact that I was fairly drunk, with no practice and without a race set I still had fun though. Shame I didnt know the tyres would last 35 laps, even with a burning qualifying setup I had.

A few negative things to mention aswell, as it was a testrace to test this stuff. A lot of chatting and talking during the race and I think during the qualifying aswell. I know the block feature is there for use, but some people really arent fond of it.

The second thing I didnt like was the no-shows and lack of a proper server. Lot of discos at the start, which really ruined most of the fun and excitement early on.

Nontheless, somehow I really like the idea of a fo8 league, since I think the car is great atm, sound, behaviour etc. I think this league could use some more promotion, like in the lfs-news and other forums to attract the bigger crowd and thus more experienced drivers to make the fun even funner. Will keep an eye on this one. Good luck.

Another thing I wanted to mention was the wind. Even though I also think it adds something extra to the races and feeling, Its still not really realistic enough for me. Especially the formula cars act rather strangely to the wind, even if its a really low one. Thats just me - but I wouldnt use wind in the coming league races. I dont think LFS simulates it very well at the moment. At least not yet.

Yeah, think you misunderstood me.

The term 'flying lap' means a driver only has one qualifying lap. But yeah, I guess I misunderstood a bit too. If its 'flying laps' or 20 minute session - its pretty clear.

So the qualifying is Not held as a flying lap session, as said on the top of the leagues website?

Anyhow hopefully I can be there on time, busy day.

I used to listen to some music in the BG, but later in time, I couldn't really feel the car so well if the music was on. Even if it was on 10% in winamp, it still affected my driving and concentration. To me, it's really important to hear the car sounds really well, specially the tyre squiling, sliding etc. Helps me learn and feel the car more, and find it's limits.

Music is definately a no-no for league races and closer tense races but okay for some fun events and perhaps some boring long hotlap sessions(when you already know all the sounds in the head, cause of hotlapping the damned track for hours. )

Overall it was a bad choice to use car classes for the races, because the classes in lfs are really unbalanced at the moment. If you want to drive top times, then in the gtr class it's fzr, and tbo = fxo. And the race calendar has both of those classes.. On the other hand, the gti/gt is quite good at the moment, and yet that class wasn't used this time. The LRF class is also pretty good, specially the fz50 and rac are quite equal, but I'll bet most will pick the lx6 cause it might be faster then the mentioned two. Which is really is sad - people might like a different car, but still choose the none-fun(faster) car. In this case fxo.

But yeah, it's easy to criticise afterwards, when things are already done. Maybe next time, the staff could do some more thinking about choosing classes or to use them at all. Just a friendly suggestion for the people in charge, but as for everthing else, the staff is doing a great job.

As for me, I love to drive the xrt atm, but the highest it can go, will be pool 3, maybe pool 2, like Jonesy said. Which is crap, cause Im gonna miss some races in the coming months, due to my moving. So I was hoping to get some good points in the races that I can participate. At the moment, Im not sure what to do, to go for pool3 with Jonesy in xrt or get some better points in pool 1 with the uber-train-like fxo. Or, just skip the whole event..

Any estimated time, when the new rules are up to be seen? I'm just thinking whether to join the season for some races or not, but I can't really make a decision if I cant see the rules of the competition. It's just been a long time since my last olfsl race.

I also saw I'm not in the members list anymore, do I need to register again? I remember I was the 60th ever to register in olfsl, and that was also my number in the league..

Anyway, good to see the oldest lfs league is still up and running, keep up the good work.

Well, if it's possible to win a bmw m6 car with lfs, then I think us foreigners would surely take a 2nd or 3rd visit to the qualifying events if we would have bad luck in the first. I know I would. Sure it's going to cost a lot, but hey, if I could win the car - my life would change

Anyhow, it's sad to hear it's only for german speaking people, but I also understand the marketing question of it.. I'm happy for the 10 lucky german chaps that will race for the car, but at the same time feel a little envious and crap that we, foreigners, can't participate. As if the EPS competition is not enough for them arrr..

Oh well, hopefully these competitions will find their way into a more international level too for the future.

Yeah.. had a freeze again, lfs went nuts. So had to reboot. After that my pc wouldnt start again so i rebooted again.. And after that we were 2-3 laps behind all of the grid. Shame.

Talk about frustration.

I just started having freezes after my 1st pitstop and coming out from the pit i had a first small one. And i was in the t1 wall with a broken steering and wrecked car. I knew it would eventually totally freeze(like it usually does) but i tryed to keep going.

Unfortunately my pc froze totally in the next lap and my race was over. This problem just keeps coming and going. Right now i didnt have any freezes for quite a while and now it happened again. I dont know the reasons or when it can occur the most but im gonna have to find out if i want to finish any races in the future..

It might be an option that im going to stop racing in this season because i can never be sure if my hardware is gonna last. And thats not very motivating. I also know its not nice to leave a league while its lasting, but my reasons are pretty much understandable i think. Im gonna think about it.

This sucks, what can i say. Was a good race.

I cant really agree with your points aswell. Being mad that your race is going bad is absolutely no reason or right to start acting bad against fellow racers. Yeah. Its not allowed in the rules to chat. Not much to argue with that id say. And he said 3-4 times like you say. Also, i find it a bit funny that you say he said "thanks" to the guys who let him pass. When he actually mainly meant the "thanks" in a sarcastic bad way. Good example is when i had my flat and unfortunately hit him, he said it then. And im sure that wasnt a polite "thanks".

He was doing his own race, he may have used some bad judgement with the blue flag rules but he made his choice. The issue has been discussed and Blackman is sorry about some of his actions and has learned from this and will face the penalty the admins want to give to him.

I have to disagree again. This was intentional blocking, maybe he didnt try to help his fellow team driver but just felt pisssed/bad as you say. And this is enough. Good example is t1 on lap 54(i think) where i got pass him and he even nudged me from the rear entering the chicane, almost taking me out. Luckily it ended good for me. But thats no way to treat a guy that's one lap ahead of you and is fighting for top spots.

Even if he was as fast or faster then Topi and Belak, he shouldve let them pass. Thats it, the two guys were fighting for the race victory and he was one lap down on them and had no right to start fighting with them. Maybe he didnt help Belak or anyone but he definately affected the race result at the top. And i know about the F1 rule, and i also know that this isnt F1, this LFS Endu. League and you have to follow the blue flag rule.

One more thing.. This is in no way an accusation to Cyber Racing from me. I just had problems with one driver, your team still has my respect and you also seem a very nice guy to come here and defend your teammate and team. Also your team driver Belak did a great race and i had a good fight with him, cheers for that. But you must understand that i also have to defend myself here. Im usually a quiet person and dont post a lot but this accusation from BlackMan in this thread definately needed a response from me.(thank god for the bad word censor..) Im glad that BlackMan feels sorry and admits some mistakes he did so i wont have any problem racing with him if he maybe apologizes to me and acts a bit better in the future. We all have our bad days.

The incident with me happened AFTER you blocked me while i was in the lead fighting with Belak. And how can you be mad at me for the incident? I lost control of my car, i couldnt do anything, i crashed. Its not like i was aiming at anyone! I tryed to get away as quick as possible. If they find that i need to be penalised for that then so be it, in my eyes that is a race incident, not a meaningful wreck.

Funny, you were mad at me for nothing, and still you even messed up Topi's race and his win by blocking him too. What did he do wrong to deserve that? Or did you want your Cyber Racing teammate to win since you messed up your own race?

I had an okay race, fighting with Belak in the first 20 laps. So that was good.

After this my second stint went a bit bad, i locked the right front a bit too often so i hoped it would last til the end of my second stint. Sadly it didnt and i lost two tires in t1 on lap 59. I tryed to get away from the other guys but the car was totally not driveable and some guys hit me bad. Sorry guys. I guess one of the guys was Blackman. You cant blame me for that, its not like i was aiming to hit you or anyone, just tryed to get away fast. After this incident i had a pc freeze again(yeah, my old problem is back), so my pc rebooted and couldnt get to windows again for a half an hour. If this problem will occur again or if i dont get it fixed, i will not drive in the season anymore. I just cant drive knowing that my hardware will let me down. So it doesnt really matter that i had the flat tyres, my race wouldve been over anyway, sadly.

BlackMan : You should be the last one to blaim anyone here or even say a word. Not only did you chat and swear and scream during the race, but you also blocked the faster cars(me and Topi) that were lapping you. And you are in the same team then the winner of this race, Belak. If you wouldnt have blocked Topi, he would have won this race.

Be sure that i will file a protest against you on all of these things i mentioned and i will be asking that people wont see you in div A anymore. You dont belong in this league.
