I turned off the autosync clock on my computer and bam, it's running slightly quick. Time to perhaps replace the CMOS battery. Thanks everyone. I'll let you know the result.
Sorry I couldn't come up with a more specific title but I'll explain what's happening.
Every server I join a server it all appears to be fine. I can see everyone and then about 3-10 minutes later everyone disappears but I can still race properly and still see other racer's times update as well as the talk going on. About 5 minutes later I time out.
Using Shift+F8, I've found I will start with at the minimum: TCP ER : InitTime -=30
goes through to -=10000 then timing out
When it hits -=300, thats when I notice the drivers dropping out and all other players on the connection bar have orange peaks while the green bar still appears fine the entire time. Prior to this, the bars looks fine even though my car does appear to play catchup every now and then.
Pressing Ctrl+T to enable position updates through TCP just makes me time out even quicker.
I tried the same server and another server as well as online by myself on the original server and the same thing is happening with the InitTime so it's not anyone elses connection.
Doing a ping test and speed test everything seems normal (9Mbps Down, 0.7Mbps Up, 24ms ping) so it's not the net either.
Would anyone be able to suggest what the problem may be? I've done a bit of searching and one guy had similar problems to me on a Linux PC but I am running Windows XP SP2. Firewall is also disabled and no other applications are running.
Just a Bump... We now have 2 more members, with some still to come

Hello, I purchased S2, and since then, my PC has stuffed up big time, and has required me to unlock it more than once.
May I please (if possible) to get an Unlock ASAP. (I do really mean ASAP also)
Better add why...
Over the past week, my computer has been playing up, often crashing, and forcing me to reinstall LFS. (Only thing I have on my PC, aside Firefox and GeneRally). I've now changed PC for racing LFS.

I quite agree here. I had a race in a UF1, suddenly, people join racing BF1's. When the race starts, I'm stuck between BF1's... and what am I to do, I'm in a UF1. I just simply pull straight out of the way.
It's great to have the BF1's, don't get me wrong, but they are just seeming well and truly overused, mostly by noobs that just want sheer speed to think they are good. Even then, I feel great when I've got the UF1 and overtake a BF1 that just spun. Can't resist a laugh.
V8 Extreme Racing Team - [V8EX]
V8 Extreme is a newly formed racing team in Australia, that started from being told about LFS a few months back. A small group of only 3 people off the website raced LFS often, and decided its time to form a team, even if it is small. All 3 people have experience in simming, some in real life racing also.
We race on Tarmac, any cars, but usually the GTR's and FOX's. We do intend to go into other category's even more when our team expands.
Member wise, we are taking in Australians or New Zealanders that are willing to participate and give their 100% and race under our colours and support the team. If you wish to join, Please PM either myself or JTM29.
I feel the same way as most people. I get onto open servers, hoping to practice the FZR, and suddenly, 5 people come on. Yes, goodie, competition to race against.
Shame its their own competition. ALL of them drive BF1's. Even around the small circuits, with very few laps. It's kind of sad that people are just 'obsessed' with the BF1 to race it non stop. I hope for their sake they try the other cars and see how much better they are.
I'm not against the BF1 at all, it's just online racing is getting dominated by the BF1, and I'm growing a little weary of it.
About the patch, I agree with you on the 2nd paragraph Gunn. The cars seem much more 'friendly' in my opinion, and I am feeling ever more confident with the cars.
Yep, thanks for that I'm getting used to it. I think the low FPS is what is really hurting me with my driving. Just reacting seems hard when you suddenly seem a bit more sideways.
I'm getting better, 1:09.33 at BL GP in a FZR. Feel proud about that. But I have a fair way to go still.
Okay, new problem. When racing online, I've been told I lag a fair bit. I have ADSL 512/512. However, I get 3-5fps on the starts with many cars around. With few, I get 10-15fps. Would the lag be from the connection or the Frame rate?
Krane, I tried that link, couldn't see anything on it I'm afraid. And yes, I'm a regular at RSC, especially in the GeneRally and OT section. Probably saw the 'Track Master' Label
Sturje, Thanks for the link as well, trying that now.
For 1. I want help in basically trying to find things like how is the best way to brake into certain corners (Different angles etc; ) . I might go for a search, see what I can find.
2. Thanks for that Seems much easier than I first thought.
3. Righto,
I'm currently running:
1.7Ghz P4
256Mb Memory
GeForce 2
All I can think of, off the top of my head. I'm soon upgrading to
4000+ AMD 64bit
1Gb memory
GeForce 6
Thanks for that, now I might take some more searches.

Rude to Double post I assume, so answer again here for sturje.
Thanks for the link about the setup. that should help me get off the ground, seems very simple for me.
Okay, that's alright, I know some people who play LFS not in a team that could seem interested, but first, practice is surely needed.
