Race Notes/Rules
-This race is intended for everyone but please consider your own personal skill level. If you are not a "front runner" then please do feel free to join but intend on yielding as much as possible to avoid causing race incidents.
-Eagles race with respect and honor safe racing behavior at all times. We expect the same of those who join our server. We want to race with the kind of folks who understand that there is no checkered flag after the first turn, and who know when to lift for safety's sake rather than pushing a risky position.
-All participants must follow the race moderators' instructions. To facilitate this we are requiring that all participants join our Ventrilo communications channel. You are not required to speak (unless you want to! we are friendly folks). However you must be able to listen to the moderator communications and then respond via keyboard as needed.
-
No restarts will be allowed. For this reason the entire race from Practice through Victory Lane celebration will be moderated. Wreckers will be banned instantly, as this notice serves as the first and final warning for violations. The objective is to provide a fun, immersive, and naturally flowing race that everyone can enjoy without marring the experience with the unrealism created by wreckers and racing drivers with poor etiquette.
-The event may be completed by individuals or teams. This means that you can choose to complete the entire race yourself or you can team with a partner or partners and develop a driver change strategy. You can choose to initiate driver changes at any time. For example, one driver can qualify and another two could take turns participating in the race. Or any other combination therein. You MUST determine whom within your team will be driving each stint and include that information in your race entry submission.
-Qualification will be held using a 2-car time trial format. Two drivers will be allowed on-track at any given time, with the order of qualification determined by the race moderator. Spectators will be able to watch as you complete a 3 lap qualification (one out lap, one hot lap, and one cool-down lap for pit re-entry).
-All flags, pit speed limits, and pit entry/exit procedures must be followed. When you exit the pit you must not enter the racing surface until you are flat on the back-straight. Similarly when you enter the pit you must use the back-straight as your entry point. Violators will be banned. Please ask the race moderator at any time if you have questions.
-If you wreck during the qualification and your car is still driveable you may complete the remainder of your 3 laps.
-If you wreck during the race and there is ZERO possibility of your vehicle causing an incident AND you are able to safely control the car to pull off-track. then you may remain in the event and safely re-enter the track when possible.
-If there is the any possibility of your incident impacting another driver then you must immediately use Shift-P to return to the pit. Once back in the pit you may then re-enter the race. Violators will be banned.
-Standing/sitting on the track is not permitted at any time. Not even during practice, and especially not during the race. This includes any and all area of the track (pits, racing surface, grass, etc.). Violators will be banned.
-Blocking is not allowed at any time during the race.
-Bump drafting is allowed at your own risk.
-No flaming or abusive language of any kind will be tolerated.
Have fun, be safe, and most of all be courtious!
