Hmmm, this one is difficult. For online play lfs 2 is way better, rfactor has some outstandic mods tho.
Pure physics wise i think the corvette c6 mod (with realfeel) is way better then any streetcar in lfs 2. I prefer the more realistic raw lfs2 graphics tho.
So i guess they have both there pros and cons, for me rfactor is better becease i think physics are the most important aspect of a sim and the corvette c6 mod is really good. But Iracing is the best sim for sure physics wise.

Well i am a proud owner of live for speed and i think the creators of this sim are all genius but the problem is that they can't really keep up anymore i think. They should really consider to expand their team big time or invest in new technology to compete against other racesims.
I have played for example iracing and there is just no comparison to be honoust, iracing is so much better when it's about physics and immersion.
I still prefer the online system of lfs 2 tho and its also alot cheaper but for obvious reasons.
I think that's basically the problem, even the formule 1 2009 codemasters wich will maybe be more arcade tho will use the laser scanned technique. And believe me that makes a huge difference. You literally feel the track way more.
So yeah i think to stay alive in the future they should really think about expanding in technology or expertise.

I also tried the demo. All in all Netkar Pro is a great sim and pure physics wise its just a better sim then lfs 2. At least the openwheelers offcourse compared to each other.
But it still needs alot of work, the sound is crap and the interface is just horrible! Lfs 2 still is overall a more complete game.
I think thats the main difference lfs 2 is a racegame compared to netkar pro wich is more a simulator. They are both still way better then other racegames.

Quote from joen :Well, it´s not like the devs use GameMaker or something to make LFS... What software would they need? Eric for sure has a 3D modelling program and Photoshop and the likes.

All the tools they need to actually build the game they already have plus for sure Scawen has made development tools himself.

So no, more money isn´t going to help make LFS better or developed faster. Although they do deserve every penny they receive for LFS, and then some.

36 hours in a day is what would help.

What i don't understand, why aren't they thinking of expanding the team of developers? This game made by 3 guys competes with bigger "teams" and has one of the largest fan bases in simracing, that's an amazing achievement there must be companies that are willing to infest in live for speed 2.
And offcourse these 3 developers should remain the project leaders, but with a little bit of help (people just as talented) this sim could be even better then it already is.

I think the streetcars are the most realistic UF 1000, XF GTI, XR GT, XR GT TURBO, RB4 GT, FXO TURBO feels natural.

With all the other cars i feel less connected. I don't think the open wheelers are realistic or the GTR's for that matter. But i am not a racer in real life, so i am just speculating. I guess netkar pro is more realistic compared to open wheelers in lfs.
