Quote from Dynodope :Been playing demo for about a week now and I love the driving in this game. Even the keyboard controls were ok to use at first but now I use a Xbox 360 controller on a laptop and I find it easier to use since I'm mainly a console gamer but later want to get a wheel that works with consoles and PC (if thats possible). Lately I've been trying to drift in the demo but is hard since the cars are underpowered in the demo version. I Downloaded a drift setup on here for the XRG today and I'm about to try it out. I tried the carX drift demo and didn't think it was that good although it had more powerful cars on there. Rfactor demo was pretty good although to play it more than an hour you need to pay and get a license. Live for speed is the best sim-racing game I've tried but mind you I've only tried the ones mentioned and also vDrift & racer. I will consider buying a license in the future though to get more cars and tracks especially the autocross which recently I found out there's some autocross going on in my area but have never done before so It'd be nice to get some practice on LFS first. Are the licenses permanent or are they for like a year or something?

Welcome to LFS! The licence is permanent.

Quote from jnich : i am doing the best I can so I do not disturb other more experienced users

Best way to learn how to drive and race properly is to race online.First time you'll be slow, but in time you'll gather more experience. Also, you can watch other players or ask them to help you with setups or tips.If you race in single player all the time, you'll get bored of LFS very fast. Just my opinion.

Good luck!

Quote from E.Reiljans :Only companies that make good gaming laptops are MSI and Sager.

In this moment, I'm checking Sager's official site.Later I'll have a look at MSI.

Quote from hiroshima guy :Still, maybe get another machine. Alienware got crap after Dell took over it, and DELL IS CRAP.

Ohh, I'll keep that in mind.Maybe Asus G5SW-SX098V?

Quote from cargame.nl :No USB3
No second drive slot
No 17 inch screen
Unprofessional look which make selling difficult after a year or two.

Nah... You are just another short term thinking kid

Look at what specs if you are only looking at generated shiny "photo's".

You're right about the drive slot, 17 inch screen and USB 3.0, BUT 2 things that I must mention:
1.Price: over 1500$ (in US, because in my country is much bigger). My budget is 800-1000 euros.
A 17 inch laptop would probably be too big and heavy for my needs (I need it at high-school).
2.Unprofessional look which make selling difficult after a year or two?The M14x is just like a Lambo, it looks like a spaceship and the specs are really good for me.Let's say you buy a car and you want it to be painted like a rainbow, but you think:"I'll buy the car with grey paint, because I can sell it with a better after a few years".Sorry but I can't think like that. And I know, you will say again that I'm a short term thinking kid. This is just my opinion.
Anyway, thank you all for giving my alternatives and showing me the bad things about my choice.

Thank you very much for the suggestions and for that shipping method .
I'll think more about getting that Alienware M14x.Here is the tech specifications link: http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-M14x/pd.aspx

What you think about this?

Quote from Cornys :Ah See, all I care about is that you can still play LFS

No problem with that, because playing LFS is very important for me and maybe I'll buy a license too ( that would be awesome).

..........And now we are off topic

Quote from Cornys :That one I beleive would run LFS like a charm,

My computer runs LFS at about 50 FPS, but I don't buy the laptop just to play LFS.I want to play any game on the market with high graphics settings.
Time for a new laptop

I'm thinking of getting a new laptop because next year I'll go to high school and I need one.I want to play last games (and sims ) on the market so it must be designed for gaming. After a few minutes of search, I found this:

Asus G53SW-SX098V--> very complicated name, but who cares anyway?

You can find its specifications here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrB2jLgW1qY

I read some reviews but I want to know your opinion.I wanted to buy an Alienware M14x, but they don't ship to my country.

So what you think about it?

Budget: 800-1000 euros
Screen:14'',15'' or maybe 17''.

The price of the Asus laptop is 1000 euros.

I have a question about force strength (I have a DFGT too).First i set it to 52, now i have it at 35.I'm comfortable with 35, so I should keep it like this?

Thank you for response!

I know i'm a demo racer and i shouldn't comment, but that was a real crasher.
Though I'm a demo user, i try to race as clean I can and i never do that stupid thing.
It's hard to find a server with some real racers on demo license , so i keep looking every day I race in LFS .

Quote from Jens O. :you won't regret buying it, I'm sure! if you don't focus on moaning about a lack of updates you can have a lot of fun with lfs as it is (on the right servers or in the leagues, most likely)

I understand that LFS has a small team and it can't have a lot of updates.
So I'm focusing on racing and how to drive better.
Sorry for leaving the thread subject.
