I asked about this a while back. Personally I'd prefer slightly wider roads so we could still have say 4 cars at once battling it out at once.

Dunno if LFS would cope, but it'd be blummin good fun.

Quote from Becky Rose :Create a driver profile with the same name as your AI (you can rename your AI). When you add the AI it will have the car skin and car setup remembered by that profile. All you have to do is select which car.

It's a pig to setup, but at least it only needs doing once (per car).

If it doesnt work there is an option in the LFS menu's somewhere to enable AI to use player setup/colours.

The 'AI using player setup' refers to the actual cars set up (spring rates etc) so doesn't really help I'm afraid. Good idea about the profiles though, I'd not thought of that, but it's still a lengthy process to change them all should you wish to change the pack around a bit.
Race line up presets

Hi,

At the moment I'm currently offline at home so I'm stuck racing AI. One of the things I enjoy doing is mixed line ups - a few small cars, few mediums and a couple of quick cars at the back of the pack. At the moment creating a mixed line up is a lengthy affair, since the AI car you add is the same as whatever you currently have selected.

Would it be possible to either a) change the AI selection so that it doesn't mirror what car you currently have selected, or b) have it so that you can store AI line ups, for ease of recall?

Cheers for reading.

Hi

Had S1 and S2 for ages, but I never really got into it. Still, I have a wheel now and I'm having fun - I'm just hopelessly slow!

I've said it before, but instead of 'tracks' where you drive around a loop, a few point to point 'roads' would be great fun.
Hotlap help please :)

So, I've done a hotlap. I'm not the greatest driver by far so need a few hints in how to get quicker since I'm 5 seconds off the pace. I've uploaded a hotlap onto LFS World and would appreciate any hints as to how to improve.

The hotlap was in the FZ50, on Aston Club.

Ok we've gone off at a tangent, but hey - good idea yes?

I guess the engine can 'cope' with p2p since the drag strip is a basic point to point, just short and without any bends. Still, I guess the potential and support is there, so now we need the Devs to look a it...

Stuff against the clock, I'd love a pack of say 4 cars battling it out down a tight twisty road. Yes, I guess there's the potential for mahem if one person stacks it (pileup anyone?) but wouldn't that be part of the charm?

As for Rally stages - hmm, same kind of thing I guess but I wouldn't want it particularly off road, perhaps a tarmac stage thing...
Point to point racing

Hi all,

I'm a bit of a n00b here, and I've searched, but never come across something which I'd love to see in the LFS engine...

Point to point racing. Rather than circuits, have something that's like a nice Welsh B road (obviously without traffic). I wouldn't want this to be NFS style, just something a little different.

Could be fun for the grippers and the drifters. Anyhoo feel free to shoot it down in flames
