Car hire for the day seems very expensive for our budget (though wer're now considering 150 - 200 GBP). I'm currently focusing on those kind of experiences with some tuition, and some laps around a track. Did find something like 20 minutes at the wheel of a single seater for around 150GBP, but I reckon a race prepped car such as a 205 would be a blast! I'm looking if it is possible to rent them for just a couple of hours instead of a whole day, to cut in the expenses..

Hi! Me and two other friends are about to travel to UK and enjoy some new track racing experience.
The track experience we have (from Portugal) is 4-stroke 270cc karts racing which we do enjoy. I was thinking in some nice single seater such as the formula ford, or some cheap to rent race-preped tintop?

I'm really stepping into the dark, I don't really know much about the possibilities we have, we're just 3 guys that are willing to spend 150GBP max each, in some (possibly short :P) racing experience more exciting than karting is

Any ideas?

so far so good to me as well! Haven't experienced any hangs on V8 and the fps really do seem to be smoother now. Thanks for your hard work!

Never had any freezes before with LFS, only when I installed V5.
Specs (laptop):

1) Core 2 Duo T5500 (1.6Mhz)
2) Nvidia Geforce 7300, 512Mb Turbo Cache
3) NGO NVIDIA Optimized Driver 2.9792

Frozed twice when I shift+S

I experienced freezing only with V5. Vsync is not enabled because the game animation becomes jerky.
LFS froze my computer 2 times, both on the skid park, while watching the car with cam-behind-car, just as I hitted shift+S to go to pits, my PC froze. It was like that in the 2 times, with the BF1 and the XG GTR.

I'll try to test some more and give more input later

PS: no dusting problems or overheating.. tried to make LFS hang again, by repeating the procedure above, without success..

yeah, imo the only cars that would need a treat for version V would be FO8 and BF1. They need to be alot louder, without that bee noise..

Well, I know about Hamachi and thats probabilly a reason why LFS only lets you use Lan ip's like 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x but yesterday I was at my campus univ, and their wireless network gives you a 193.x.x.x ip, so I wasn't able to play with a mate of mine via wireless, which kinda sucked

I don't think it's a nice approach to block certain schemes of IPs. This kinda restrictions really annoys me =\
