Great. Think it's something that's needed more for the demo server runners but would be handy all round
Admin system

It would be nice to have the ability to set an admin slot that can only be taken by someone entering the server using the admin password.

do you use pit spotter to auto start LFS? If not you have to set the insim port manually in LFS

type /insim 44444 in a game screen

Quote from CrazyICE :i think you have to update...
maybe the file in your case has the extension .ini

but in there you can define the IP, Ports and Admin.
also the window positions are stored in it.

so, if the lables seems to be overlapped try removing the section [fMain] and [fLogs] and start the tool again...

Thanks for the help. Got it to work a treat. Great piece of software.

Quote from CrazyICE :try modifying the file LFSAutoMessage.config.
there you can set the admin pw and change the ports.

but i can't imagine how to use more different InSim applications at once...
i think this won't work!

Weird, I don't seem to have a file called LFSAutoMessage.config. Do I have to create it or do I need to update my version of LFS:AM?

Answered my own question by downloading newer version... Thx anyway.

Try the 81.87 drivers for your card. Also switch off V-sync.

Quote from Baked Nut :done that over and over doesn't work

LFS AM will not connect to a server if you have an admin password set as LFS AM has no way of setting / sending the password.

Had the same problem with a thrustmaster wheel some time ago.

Check the pots in the wheel aren't worn or dirty. You could try cleaning them with wd40 or try getting a replacement pack.

Another way is to set it on the shortcut you use for starting LFS.

Right click on the short cut and select properties. In the new window that comes up put /insim=44444 after the shortcut link.

ie:

\Live for Speed\LFS.exe" /InSim=44444

This will set insim up every time you start LFS
