I mean sensitivity of tracking for Ex. accelerate pedal. For PS2 connection it is 512, for USB 1024 or even 2048 (can't remember)
It means that USB is 2 or 4 times accurate than PS2 (read this in fan site somewhere... or may be in manual...)

Quote from Bose321 :No idea... Not sure if it matters what side/color you put it in. I never used the USB cable, always used the PS2 cable.

Why so? DO you know that sens of your CSP while connecting with PS2 is 4 time lower than if connect it with USB

Yes! But I am too looking for cheap and comfort cockpit! My work and game spots is the same place so I need something light and easy mountable.
I already have some ideas. Need to find some time and begin my drawings.
And I'd like to use it like a fly sim cockpit to so it must be universal in the same time. Big plans yeeye

And second thing. What can be the problem of not working throttle and clutch when connecting CSP directly to wheel (PS2 cable)? If I connecting it useing USB cable - no problem, all pedals is working!! Can I do something wrong?

Ye thats clear for me)))
So I guess I can handle it. This will be the only one irritating thing about these wheel! In all other way I just LOVE it!
By the way I am planing to do some kind of cockpit for it

Is there any stock drawings of standart simrace cockpit available somewhere on te web? Can't find any in google...

Quote from Bose321 :Yes. If the centering spring is on I can't really feel the difference on the software block really.

Sorry my english is poor.
So you tell that you can't feel any differance in blocking behaviour with Autocentrating option ON and OFF?
So you have the same vibration with both options? No differance at all?

we are mates, right?

Of course we are!
By the way I am owner of:
1. Mouse
2. Keyboard
3. Microphone
4. Gamepad
5. Gaming keybad (G13)
6. USB pub
And all these is Logitech so I guess I prefer Logitech just like you do
That's why my first wheel was Logitec)))) Only for nearly two weeks but I can count it

Quote from logitekg25 :and the fanatec like growls at you if you turn it...sounds nice

Heh second reason that I switched to Fanatec was loudness of Logitec's FFB and vibration motors My wife just couldn't sleep LOL

Fanatec is really strong but in same time it's smooth and quiet - just what I was looking for. You can just belive my word.

The only thing that I don't like is this vibration at software blocking points. I belive Fanatec added it for a good reason and most users are like it but I don't

Quote from Bose321 :How can you say that? I bet you haven't even touched a Fanatec. And the whole reason he went to Fanatec is because the logitech wheel is crap.

Logitech is good Co. but belt drive is hands down better. It just more real!

Bose321 please can you check your wheel for me?
Take a look on my vid youtube.com/watch?v=iI1MPIxMVDM&feature=player_embedded but turn volume UP.

Than in drivers OFF "Autocentre spring" option.
Make a test. Is your wheel vibrates on it's softwsre blocking point?

Than turn "Autocentre spring" option ON.
Make the same test. Is your wheel vibrates on it's softwsre blocking point just like it did when spring option was OFF?

Because vibration must be or must not be - no matter "Autocentre spring" option ON or OFF. There no connection between this two options! Plus this vibration is really loud and irritatin. So I think this can't be a normal behaviour.

Quote from logitekg25 :fanatec sucks from the looks of it in terms of quality

shoulda stuck with logitech

By the way I just switched to Fanatec from Logitech and can asure you that feeling is much more real + no dead zone in the middle (really hate this). If Logitech just manufacture wheel with belt drive - I'll be there first customer!

Guys any info about my previous quastion?
Owners of Fanatec wheels please check if you have the same vibration in blocking position at the time when "Autocentre spring" option is OFF? And do it vanish if "Autocentre spring" option is ON?

It'll really help me and I can change my wheel to another one. Thank you!

THX I solved this problem already

But now there is another. I have strange vibration (and noise) in wheel blocking position. So where vibration starts is depending on rotation degree option.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iI1MPIxMVDM
And another strange fact - if I turn Autocentre spring option ON vibration just vanish! If turn Autocentre spring OFF - here we go again!

Just fired GRID... in options there only keyboard or my Logitech GamePad.

P.S.: Is there any wheel on the market which I just can buy and play with?))) And no "dancing around the fire whith my hands poped up and singing a misterious song"? LOL

Yeeeey!
I get it today! It's just greatfeeling wheel + good materials.

In 5 min I'll fire the GRID and start testing. But I already have one quastio - is there any way to adjust autocentre spring? Or just on\off?

Quote from Bose321 :Got no camera near to show how it works, and for some reason I can't find any picture from the bottom of the wheel, but this should work :

I honestly can't tell you 100% surely if it will fit or not. (I got no desk in house that's anything like yours, so can't try myself either)
I think the best thing you can do is contact Fanatec, and tell them about the G27 (they will love that, haha), and show the picture of your desk, I think they can help you more.

Ye it's table clump fixators is enough far from the edge so it must work for me
And in case... I always can return the wheel back to the store or figure something out with the desk... mey be even build a simrig

Quote from Bose321 :I played Grid and Pro street, they both worked fine. Hot pursuit isn't really worth it (no matter what wheel). But it does work

I don't use that, but the clamp gives you more stability, but it's not needed.

That's cool! Really good
I think I don't going to regret about switching to Fanatec!

Do you think I can mount it with no problem on such kind of desk:

That is how I mounted my previous G27 and it fits good - no problems with stabilization at all:

And qastion about mounting. Can I mount it somehow just from the box or I need this http://www.fanatec.de/html/index.php?id=291 to mount it?

Quote from Bose321 :Uhm... Compared to the G27? Nothing really except from the price... (but only if you compare it.)

And no problems with compability at all? I shure it works good with popular sim-race games! But what about for ex. GRID, NFS PRO Street, NFS Hot Persuit?

Ok untill I make second mistake - this is possible)))))
What about game support of Fanatec's wheels? All new games supports Fanatec? No problems at all?

An what about old ones for Ex GRID?

P.S.: I really don't whant to do second mistake)))

Quote from Bose321 :No. Not on my Fanatec. And yes, it was on my logitech wheels (including G25 and G27).

That thing must be FIRST in list of reasons "why not to buy Ligitech"!
Why just why nobody tell me this fact earlier... -350$ and disappointment

And generaly I think this fact must be in every overviev about G25\G27.
I read nearly 10 of reviews befor buing and you know what?)))) Nobody even point a hint on such problem

I can't fill a car. Handling in middle is so unnatural in compare with high degree handling!!! If FFB and Vibration warks same for all degrees - it'll be best wheel for the price.

Hi guys!!!
So I make my choice and get G27. So what can I tell is that wheel and pedals are VERY high quality so as drivers and general compability.
But there is one thing that just irritates me! In its middle position and a few degrees left and right G27 wheel have no force! No force at all!
If I rotate it further all is OK and I can feal Vibration and FFB working but not in a middle position!

Is it OK for G27 and is there the same problem with Fanatec and generally with all wheels today on the market?

Sorry guys but the thing is that I understand that separatly Fanatec wheel is head up better than Logitech. But in same case Logitech pedals is way better than standart Fanatec's.
So I afraid if I'll take Fanatec kit - I'll get amazing impression with wheel but poor experience with it's pedals. But may be if I'll take Logitech - I'll get good (medium) impression (experience) with both wheel and pedals...
What can you make some advise under such angle?

Thx guys!

One more thing.
If you'll choose between G27 full complect and Fanatec Porsche GT3RS v2 + standart Fanatec Porsche pedals(GTR3 wheel + clubsport pedals is too expansive for me). What will be your choice in such case?

P.S.: That it why I can't choose - wheel is better from Fanatec, pedals better from Logitech... but I don't know how big is this two difference!

Quote from Tomhah :The G27 isnt actually cheaper, is it?

In mu country:

Fanatec Porsche GT3RS v2 + Clubsport pedals (no shifter) - 540$
Fanatec Porsche GT3RS v2 + standart Fanatec Porsche pedals (no shifter) - 335$
Logitech G27 - 335$

So it's really hard decision
