would have to agree with the comments about tyres overheating too fast.. I actually really like the throttle cut and clutch wear concepts..

as for the tyres -
AS3 Turn 1 in an FZR, even the slightest mistake costs you a set of tyres... I can just make R2' last 10 laps, R3's can do loads more... 2.5 anyone?

in real life, you would be able to select from a variety of compounds depending on the required life - e.g. Rally Car doing a short stage or a GT doing 24 hours.... R2/R3 balance is wrong IMO.

one of the guys at conedodgers has just suggested an alternative reason for the stutter.

To stop people jumping the chicane on AS3, additional tyres have been added to block the direct route... Might this be adding to the stutter? adding to the number of calculations for the physics engine?

I have a decent spec pc P4 -3.2 dual core, with Radeon 850xt, so shouldnt really be taxing the pc too much..

Any thoughts?

I am also experiencing the lag/stutter, notice it particularly when slowing for the chicane on AS3.... so still in excess of 85mph when it occurs. It really messes up my braking..

really dont like the fzr sounds and cant hear the skidding... roll on newer and better versions...

I dont have the option of cable... outwith the small number of cabled areas in Scotland..

As for keeping calm, already lost it many times with them, but will have to shell out £47 in fees to move, its looking that way...

If Scawen could give me a "packet" signature for LFS then they could identify them. The problem is that the conedodgers and other servers use non-standard ports for some reason and they get deprioritised.

I will move, but my brother - non techie and other friends are subscribers and I will have to sort out their messes aswell..

the state of ISP's and BT in general in the Uk is a disgrace..

Hopefully Scawen will drop in to this thread and let me know if this "signature" can be derived..

Probably a question for the real techies amongst us...

My ISP is being a real pita about my (and probably all their customers) access to LFS servers. They are using very agressive traffic shaping and also low level packet analysis to decide on the traffic priority...

As a result my traffic for non standard LFS ports can be around 1500ms or worse..

My ISP either wants (1) a signature or a way of uniquely identifying LFS packets, so that they can be prioritised or (2) a list of servers that I connect to and the ports that they are on..

Option 2 above feels very limited to me, but it may be an option if Scawen etc could give me a snapshot list of servers from the master and I get my ISP to add them all..

Option 1, to properly identfy LFS as a real time priority application would be ideal. Anyone available to advise?

I could see the stress levels rising, but a good job well done.

Legends- Lucky Luke was head and shoulders above everybody else and will be a top contender for the overall title. I couldnt catch Legends Bambuse in the first race, but with Luke coming from the back of the grid, (just) managed to hold on.

If possible, I personally would like to be able to watch replay's of the other qualification races - even just to check out the competition.

This is obviously taking up alot of your time and I for one would like to say thanks.
