Well I don't believe this statement at all. It is pretty common for FXR racers to come to a corner and go from maxed out 6th gear and down shift to 4th or even 3rd in one motion. For one, I don't think you could keep the wheels from locking up in real life and if you could get it in gear, it would blow the engine up. Probably the very first time.
This makes for the driver that has learned the nuances of LFS racing to be extreemely fast but not very realistic.
Thanks for the spelling of "amateur" No spell check here for us dummies.
I just checked the Server name and yes it did have "Drift Server" in the title.
I had no idea that any one would want to race slippery and wreck alot.
Might as well download a RATBAG Dirt Track Racing game. That's pretty fun and it is deliberate slipping.
I am glad I got this education on Drift Servers. No why didn't someone mention it in the chat while in the game? They just sdaid I was gripping. What do you expect a racer to do?
Thanks all for the funny and enlightening posts. I guess I'll stay of the Drift Servers.
I was kicked from a server today and someone was complaining that I was gripping. Not Griping but G.R.I.P.P.I.N.G. Sounds to me like they thought I was cheating. It was just a BP Track revered and I was using a GTR car with almost full downforce.
It kinda ticked me off being kicked, especially since I was just getting used to BP reversed. I was passing the other cars with ease, they were all slipping and sliding in the corners like ametuers, and I am one
So what is Gripping? Some sort of cheat?

When I play in single player, depending upon the number of cars and sometimes the complexty of the car, I'll have terrible lag when i am near them. Like if playing the 250GTR cars until I seperate myself from them, I lag. Or if I play with 10 AI of the smaller cars I lag, put when near any one or two I don't lag.
What can i do for settings?
I have a 18. P4 DFI motherboard with hyperthreading with 756mb of PC800 Ram with a measly NVIDIA 64mb TI card. Yes I know this is an issue, but I have played many games and opnly have minimal graphic iussues. This is pretty bad.
