The important point might be to select 'seperate pedals' in LFS.
Possible need to also select 'seperate axes' for the gamepad in its software/windows.

Found the solution, had to set trottle/brakes axes on buttons. Thank you very much!

I have some problems with my gamepad.
I wanna use the left and right bottom shoulders as buttons for the gas and braking.
Already selected those buttons as gas and brakingpadle, but it is still not working?
Has it something to do with the axles?
It worked for years, but I cant get the old settings back.
