+3 on the others...

I was looking up to some ppl, i was amazed by the speed and dedication, then also in the past he made fun out of me, out of loads of others... I find this "dont take this too hard on him", "dont bite his head off", BS asswell... No respect left...

Him.... IMO he should be banned for life... But i think thats a bit too harsh even for cheaters. I think his name has received a big BIGG dint, i think thats enough punishment for the comming months or years...

Strange, something so small can cause so much s..t...

It doenst matter if you win by a tenth or 10 seconds a cheat is a cheat and stays a cheat Niki... I dont see the difference... Even thinking about it is wrong, let alone using something like this...

Let he be lucky LFS isnt using punkbuster service, then his LFS career would be over, it detects these kind of scripts or other things running in the background... A ban will follow for every game thats using this service... games as Call of Duty or a simular game... Then you can buy a completly new pc and change provider because of the IP and hardware ban, and a game license ban, i think thats a bit expensive but a good punishment....

Ow and with a PB service you get banned with all the games using it... But then again who expected this in LFS...

Probably not usable for LFS but still i love it in other games...

Most of you know this service...

Punkbuster service....

Its a good thing that Mercury speaked up, and in some way i think its good that things like this get discovered, by a driver, but it would be even better if it would be passed to the devellopers so that they can do something about it, instead of using it in a race... Wrong choice of the guy which wont do any good for his name... But it has been a choice...

I never expected that there could be cheated with LFS...

Sooner or later it will get discovered...

R4 is never used, not in the BIG league's with the fast guys that is, seems youve never done MoE or any other Endurance race...
Talking about strategy, fuel and tyres...

Hello racers,

Well after todays formula 1 race i was thinking about the pitstop strategy, ive heard Alonso about it, and it started me thinking about it with LFS.

Im a race driver racing in league's like the Masters of Endurance, the 16h lfs race etc...

Im still am not satisfied about the race/fuel/strategy used in LFS, i mean the standard procedure is fuel the car to 100% and drive untill your tyres are worn out, the fuel never does, this is with endurance racing, IMO for the race cars in LFS the maximum amount of fuel that you can carry is way too high. OR is it, what about the tyres???

Its boring so to say, everyone is doing the same strategy because its the fastest way in endurance racing.

For instance in Formula 1 they almost got a good balance in doing a single stop with slower pace, or doing 2 stops. ATM 2 stops is still the fastest, today weve seen piquet doing a single stop if im correct and see were he ended up 4th place... So both tactics are usable in F1.

In lfs this isnt possible, 2 stops is always slower. So everyone fills up the car and goes... These simular strategy's give a boring race for drivers and a predictable finish.

I think that there alot of people that will agree with this, its simular for short en endurance racing.

This problem can be caused due to 2 reasons, grip of the tyres or a too high fuel load.

Thinking it over, i personally think its a combination of both.

Starting out with the tyres, ppl in endurance racing never use the hardest compound because thats way too slow, ppl mostly use the middle for the race and the soft for the qualify. The difference in grip between the qualify tyres and the middle type or R2's is way too close. Also the qualify tyres heat up too much so they never can be used for a 2 stop strategy, because with the GTR cars there gone in 2 or 3 laps sometimes even after 1 lap.

Im driving alot of GTR cars so look @ this from the GTR cars viewpoint.

I think that we have too much tyre types in LFS (R1-R4) IMO we should have a qualifying tyre, a soft and a hard tyre.

I think we should loose the hardest tyre in LFS R4 this tyre is never used, because its giving not enough grip and with a big fuel load its even slower.

IMO the R2 tyre is not usable for racing, which is a bit strange, in formula 1 there used, ok they dont last as long but ppl tend to use them alot with a 2 stop strategy. In lfs the tyres heat up in a good way but after a lap or 2 the surface temperature is so high that it becomes useless. You could say that this R2 tyre is sort of the qualifying tyre.

The R3 tyre is mostly used, they last for about a hour, and your still have a good fast pace, also since you cant use R2 tyres for the race, this is basically the only choice for racing.

The R4 tyre has even less grip and as far as i can see its NEVER been used in LFS. The grip level is way too less the tyres dont heat up properly etc etc etc...

What needs tobe done am i thinking, to start with, i think the balance of grip and heat in the tyres is wrong.

IMO the problem with this in LFS is that the main difference in these tyres, is the heating up process and what happens after heating up.

Like i said before we should have a qualifying tyre that lasts about 5 laps, a R2 (soft) tyre that lasts for around 45min, and a R3 (hard) for 45 and above. What you see with lfs is that the tyres main problem is the heating up process, if im correct the tyres are the same for all the cars (R1 - R4), R1 is not availeble for GTR, and R4 not for the standard cars.

Imo this isnt right, if you use R2 tyres in the GTR cars there surface temperature is way too high after a lap, the grip level is ok, but since the tyres heat up too fast they loose grip. IMO this isnt realistic OK they will heat up and can get overheated in real life but not after 2 laps. So thats not good.

Ok you can say lets call R2 the quali tyre, thats ok then, i think if the devellopers change the heating up process a bit so these tyres stay alive for 3 or 4 laps this tyre is OK.

Whats comes next?, the R3 tyre, this tyre lasts too long, heating up is ok, after 8 laps you mostly get problems with overheating, grip level is ok through a stint, if the devellopers decrease the time this tyre last so it lasts about 45 min should be spot on.

This way the R4 tyre can be used for the long stints doing 1 stop a hour or more, and finally making use of the high fuel load. But since the R3 tyre lasts too long in combination with a 90% fuel load or even more its the clearest choice. So you could say that the maximum fuel load is ok in LFS, but that the R3 tyre lasts too long, and the R4 tyres grip level is a bit too low.

My conclusion about this long story is this: Decrease the R3 tyres last time. Increase the R4 tyres grip level, wear should be ok for 1 hour and 15min, i never tested it so i dont know for sure.

This way you get a more interesting view of the race, more strategy's are possible, ok this needs balancing alot, but i think this is worth todo. It will make races way more interesting, more position changes, more pitstops, more fun for the drivers and teams, and it needs way more thinking about the strategy. But it needs alot of balancing to get to such a level...

Also i think the heating up process is wrong on the tyres, hard tyres heat up in a simular way as soft tyres but the maximum temparture is less offcourse. In LFS its different, the harder the tyre the more laps it takes to heat up. IMO it should be like this:

Soft tyre or R3 should heat up in a lap, it does it too fast and overheats too quick, the harder R4 should heat up in 1 to 2 laps, and doesnt overheat.

So it doesnt matter the will overheat with the surface temperature. IMO this is wrong again in LFS, the time between the normal temperature and the overheated temperature is too short. In real life a qualifying tyre lasts around 3 or 4 laps, then it looses grip or overheats. The soft and hard race tyres never really overheat, or maybe if they really are worn, unless you have a bad setup balance or damage. In LFS the R2 and R3 always overheat, even with high tyre pressures. So imo this should be changed in a way that would be more realistic. R3 and R4 should heat up more quickly, but shouldnt OVERheat fast... In lfs this balance is wrong and should be changed.

R2 overheating in 3 or 4 laps, R3 should do this around 10 to 12 laps and R4 shouldnt overheat unless they are worn out...

If this would be changed, i think we get more realisitc races, more chances todo different strategy's, and basically remove the boring 1 hour stint races...

I think it would be a big improvement if you could choose from 2 strategy's that could work, the way it is now, you only got one choice.

Right, i would like to say sorry for the long story, im from The Netherlands, my English isnt better then this, ive done my best to keep it short

I hope the racers understand my point of view about this, im not a tyre engineer, but this is what i think about it comparing it to F1 etc... Thanks for reading and lets discuss this.

Greetings,

Reinier

So because you cant pay all the others need to wait because of that...

Well next year i cant pay, shall we do it in 2010...

Thats a bit BS in my book...

Jeezzzzz 2009??? Thats way too far in the future, with a bit organisation you can arrange this this month, if not you need to wait till summer next year... So imo get a move on and arrange something this month, this is the last month that we have some decent weather, otherwise you need a indoor track..

Guys,

Its a good idea BUT...

Imo there needs tobe one guy thats gonna fix all this arrange the kart event etc, and imo everyone should pay in advance otherwise this isnt gonna work. If everyone pays in advance its more secure for the guy arranging all this and this way you know for sure the people are comming.

As for a good central circuit imo nijverdal or Oldenzaal should be the one, its quite central, for peeps from the north quite easy accessible through germany A31... AUTOBAHN jawohl... And its a very good circuit. Also, if you come from the north or from Amsterdam, its almost the same travel time so imo, its the best choice...

http://www.kartbaanoldenzaal.nl/

Check this next link out, 130km 90min drive for me, 2 hours will be for me the limit todo...

http://www.detelefoongids.nl/b ... p;edsacid=CB-8665269-7-1#

yes i live way up north aswell... If i need togo further then Utrecht then i must decline, its getting too far for just a meeting...

So imo we should arrange a meeting in the provence of Utrecht or Overijssel.

Who can make a list of all the tracks in these 2 parts of Holland?

Here is a link of all the outdoor tracks:

And yes offcourse i would join in this...

Yeah great idea +11111111212112121212121 BUT

What if you get a misunderstanding with the teammanager and he destroys the car setup??? Rollbarrs for instance? Could be hugely fun offcourse, but thats not a thing you want to happen. Also, not all the teams use teamspeak of ventrillo to communicate.

Its a really great idea, but you need to think about this, i think this can be a nice add for the game.

Fuel etc should be great, but what about the rest of the things you can change during a race.

I think the driver should still have the last word in this. Dunno if its technical possible, but also it would be nice if this could be handled outside of the server, i mean, otherwise other teams would know that your changing tactics or whatever, or you could do some sandbagging... Thats fun now i think about it but....

Dunno whats best, looking @ the server slots i think doing this in lfsworld or atleast outside of the server would be best, maybe through the lfs spectator?? But its only a one way data flow i think so....

Great idea, i hope they will have a look @ the possibilitie's, ive done some endurance races, moe etc... Sometimes its hard to change tactics if your pushing hard or having a big fight for position on the track.

Dunno if this will do any good but 4 teams in 4 months, ive seen enough happening in these few months, since he got into LFS with our team.

All the things i can say is, Rudy ffs first check out all the teams out there before you make a choice, this swapping stuff wont do any good @ all for your reputation... Joining a team takes time, you need to think were you want togo, and what you want todo in the future. If said this so many times, even when you left ORT...

I know multply teams are pulling on the arms of this young 16 year old boy to get him into the team. :fence3d::fence3d: This always happens with fast young guys, there getting asked for a team with some nice words from the recruiter but afterwards... Im not saying this has happend this time, but i know it HAS happend.

I bought him a license, i know the guy, i got him into LFS, i hope he will get settled now and stops hopping around, im not sure if he gets asked by teams, frankly i cant believe he WONT be asked by teams, F1rst needs some good lads aswell, fast ones arent always the best choice, but what the heck, seems if your fast you get a free access pass with most of the teams (in general), rather then a good teamplayer (in general), i wish the teams (in general) would open their bloody eyes a bit more, there are loads of guys with big potential. Go do some real scout work ffs.

In my days as a recruiter ive found alot of fast guys, who just needed a little push in the good direction, with some help and setupadvice they have grown to a high level (Marcel for instance, guys that know him, will know who i mean). Nowadays, im looking around for a decent team, but most of the teams just need aliens, they dont look further then the bloody horizon were there is so much potential.

Offcourse i hope they will fit together offcourse, and this time it probably will i think, i know f1rst for a long time, i know Rudy... F1rst def needs such a driver so...

Time will tell...

No offense to anyone, but ive seen enough happen in the last weeks and months with Rudy, things that i dont like...

My 2 cents experiencesss etccc bla bla bla...

BTW congratz to F1rst in signing Rudy, and congratz to Rudy in joining F1rst offcourse...

Esspecially if your starting a team which is national minded only dutch peeps for instance in our case... We had some drivers but for some reason the peeps which started our team kept on going and other new guys never did stay long or stayed active.

Most of the times, the LFS teams are a friendsgroup for some years, i can see it with other games aswell. In 2003 for instance i was in a Call of Duty clan stayed there for 3 years, and now in 2008 were still playing all kinds of games.

Ive seen teams come and go, sometimes through fights within teams or other problems, or other simple reasons. Most teams are one day flies. Some others really try hard and keep it up for a year or 2. But afterall only the settled teams keep alive.

Ahhh well, anyways my steering wheel has arrived. WOOHOOO

yeah, well we never got that far till now, thanks to my wheel problems i had a week or 4 ago...

Today i receive my NEW old wheel the thrustworthy MOMO, and then i can get back to racing...

This was more to have a look @ the horizon, see what kind of maybe OTHER possibilities there are etc... Bit orientating around so to say.

You will see me around soon again and hopefully on pace again. I got some wishes well see if they get fullfilled...

Seems your the kind of fellow to give critism on every single post or????

Think the topic says "looking around a bit" And i think im mentioning the word orientating somewere in this post. Clear enough i think. If there are teams interested i will hear it, if not no big deal either.

Anyways this is just for teams who are looking for drivers, my aim is a big team, or other settled teams, if they are not interested then ill stay independant simple as that, if there are interested teams, and there are some, (i received enough PM's)... They can reply or pm or whatever, and if you aint got something usefull to say plz DONT...

This forum has enough useless ppl around who are nagging about every single post on this forum... Mildly annoying so to say...

I got enough PM's so ill be checking out my options and see whats the best choice, to join a team to stay independant or to keep on training with teams i WOULD like to join, joining a team isnt that simple, im a guy who wont change teams alot, and when i do, its a well considered choice...

And tobe honest i got my eyes on teams as Mercury or SPDO or 1st or other simular teams who are settled, and are here to stay...

Ive been a founder of a team, i know the difficulties and other stuff there is to do... I dont wanna BUILD a team again, imo there are way wayyy too much teams in the LFS world, i always give 110%, i have had too much dissapointments in the past, i want more time for racing, and get back to a good speed, and do some racing in the major leagues and the most inportant part, to have some FUN again with LFS... And thats too long ago.

End of my preach bla bla....
Looking around a bit.

Hello guys,

Some of you guys know me some dont, anyways to keep things short, im looking around for a team to join, normally i wont do this, but i want to see if there are teams around.

Im only looking @ the big and settled teams so small teams dont bother to reply im not interested. I want to drive in the big league's again because that is were my interest lies.

Im playing LFS since 2005 and my last team, was my own team together with some friends. (Orange Racing Team most of you guys know i think.

Some drivers: diablo def, koopa, westerhof racing, atixt, all no team anymore btw so who knows )

We were participating in some major league's MoE for instance with very good results, anyways we stopped our team because after a year we didnt had an improvement in the driver department, we were only looking for Dutch guys to keep it easy on teamspeak, unfortuatly it didnt work out, and you cant keep up a team running with only 3 active drivers and 5 or 6 active drivers so we decided to stop with the team and that was that. Best result a second place in the 24h Masters of Endurance Race, dawm we had a nice team that time...

Anyways, ive been looking around i have been driving with some teams, i got some favorits offcourse, but atm i dont have a team and i just wanna see if there are more teams who are interested, im just orientating around a bit.

So if there are teams who think they can use a driver with 110% commitment, ill be glad to hear.

Orange Racing Team stops racing in the MoE Racing Series

Hello guys,

Well what can i say. After almost 1 year of MoE and almost the first birthday of our team, we are forced to leave the MoE Racing Series.

Due to 2 of our racers leaving and starting something up of their own together with some other LFS drivers, we are down to only 4 active racers, and 4 inactive fun racers, which cant be online all the time, so this is not enough to race in the MoE Series. Although the guys left are very motivated to race offcourse.

Let me explain a bit, our team has only Dutch LFS drivers. Its a Dutch guys only team, this is probably the main problem that we arent growing as expected, it brings big problems in finding good Dutch racing drivers that have a descent speed to compete in series like the Masters. LFS isnt a very well known game here in Holland unfortunatly.

When we started our team in may 2007 i expected that it wouldnt be this hard to find good drivers... It was a quest of survival, staying alive so to say... (BeeGees) But its hard to run a small team and make it bigger, the main group will stick together, but still, newcomers are comming and leaving again, searching for a bigger challenge in bigger teams, or losing interest in LFS itself.

I must say i was honered when our team was accepted in the Masters, although it was a very very young racing team, but we had our fair share of experienced drivers, we had huge fun, esspecially our first race, when we started 4 hours later then all the others. That really was a beginners fault... But very funny afterall.

The speed was there, and we were fighting for podium positions, and the second spot on the podium in the last 24 hour race was a exceptional high.

it was the best league ive ever been racing in together with my m8's and im quite sad that were forced to leave these series, but we dont have a choice, we simply cant race with this amount of racers.

I wish all the teams in MoE the best, and i hope we will be back soon, with our Orange Racing Team, or with a different team who knows. Youve all have been great company in these races, and i wish the other teams the best for the future.

Only the pitstop disconnect cheat stuff needs tobe sorted out, thats the only part i think is a weak point at this time in MoE, otherwise, me as a MoE driver can say that i am very satisfied with this league sofar... And so are my teamm8's...

Its the best league i have ever done...

Youre leaving, fine, with all the respect youve done for this league but bringing this up is a bigger fiasco i think...

There are around 100 guys involved in this league, drivers, team managers etc...

More then enough guys to take a place in the admin seat...
