Hi,

I'd just like to say how brilliant LFS is and how realistic the drifting side feels once a good setup is found. I mostly do online drifting in LFS because it's great to learn from other people, so I can imporve myself. And thats what makes me happy improving my drift technique hopefully without the tires exploding:hbomb: I would love to get a 180sx one day and give it a enormous tune up but somehow still keep it street legal. I would also like to get into driftworks as I think they are the leading promotional drift group in the UK and I hope they can help me with all things drift. My equipment is a unique table which comfortably supports a G25 (900 degrees) and a sequential shifter which I think is about the same as the D1SL cars in Japan. The reason I am called TrackCarFan is because I used to like caterhams, but now I think drifting is much better. If anyone can give me advice on my drifting please feel free. Thanks and I'll see you online.
Lack of clutch after several laps.

Hello,

I am enjoying LFS quite a bit now but I have discovered a worrying problem. When I have done approx 5 laps around a medium length track the clutch goes...dead...out of nowwhere. The revs shoot up, but my car gains no speed. I can go back to the pits then exit straight away again, but if I am in a race I'll lose my position. I am using a sequential gearbox with the clutch on auto. Not really sure what to do on this one, maybe the clutch is cutting out after a certain amount of the fuel has been depleted?? Just so you know I do mostly GT racing and have got the GulfMclaren Livery, it's great

kind regards,

TrackCarFan.

Right, this is now officially FIXED XD

No more problems will arise regarding controllers, I have got my favourite livery for the FZ50 GTR (BMW Z4 GT3) and have been having a blast on the Super GT Lfs servers. GT racing is the way for me. Nothing beats 420BHP and a sequential gear box. :auto:

With many thanks,

O_O you are a genius!!! Many thanks for this sir, but I am reinstalling LFS now. Damn I should have revisited the forum earlier sorry. I have saved all my XRR files so that it can be immediately setup for time attack

Kind regards,

TrackCarFan (drives XR GTR/XRR for time attack and race)

Thank you do much, i hope i will have no more problems. You have been very helpful to me time to make up for lost time, and put in some serious lap times.

Hi, the one thing i can't get to work is the gas. Brake and clutch work fine??? I have re-plugged the pedals back in, but this does not work. Any advice please?

Update: steering is fine now I have reinstalled the latest version of the logitech profiler. I have followed all the advice so far, but the pedals still are not working and I can't figure out why??

Thanks,

YAHOOOO!!! thanks alot for your detailed response

I can now drive the car at last, it seems I'll need to download a Logitech profiler.

Thanks so so much,

Another 2 problems have arisen. God knows how I have managed to do this but somehow I now have only two options when moving the car off from a standing position. I can either choose between an inverted handbrake or an inverted clutch. Either one I choose will cause the other to come into effect, and I stall and look a right banana. I have set the handbrake to button mode and the clutch is on automatic. I am using sequential transmission using the G25 shifter. I have got my LX4 with a gulf livery, and I have tweaked the engine sound, and got my own race setup.

But I can't drive it! I would be most grateful for people who are more expreinced than I to step foward and hopefully give me some help. Just got LFS S2 a minute ago as well.

Thanks,

TrackCarFan.

Hello!

Just started LFS about a few minutes ago. I have managed to get the controls for my G25 up and running except for one thing. The steering XD all the time I have played LFS this morning I have set the degrees of rotation to 900, but it makes no difference and the game responds as if the wheel has only 90 degrees of lock. I can't keep my favourite car (LX4) in a straight line at all. I assume there is a controller help section somewhere? I am more of a time attack sort of person and will push myself and the LX4 to get the best lap time possible. I must say LFS is a great looking game, and my laptop was bought for shift 2 unleashed so as that failed to even start up I am left with a beast of a laptop that has an i7 processor. I have hopped from racing game to racing game, and LFS really grabbed me. Can I still race online with a S1 license??

Many thanks for this great site, and I look foward to meeting all of you.
