I'm participating/was participating in such leagues: rFactor leagues, FSR, DR, GPVWS

So I am looking for a team which wants to run in Open Wheelers leagues, F1, FOX, FO8 etc. Want to be able to participate in high end leagues regularly when possible. I am happy to do some testing sessions before any acceptance.

True, but you had to be a decent driver to earn points on CTRA and keep earning them as they pretty strict rules for wreckers and dangerous drivers. The league I currently race in rFactor have similar principles and that is what attracted me to them. They do full race marshaling and they analyze replays after each race and apply panelties where ever rules are broken. So you can not get away . One can only progress in such system if you have discipline in racing.

Extra: I have been racing in CTRA for past two years, got Platinum in Tin Tops and A->International in SS's. Since it is close now, I am moving on. Along with that I race rFactor with FSR in F1. I put a lot work in for setup and testing and getting the car right for race by working with team. For me it is very important to have a car for race i-e not one lap wonder and I am looking for a seat to race regularly. I like Single Seaters, and GT cars, and would like to race regularly (30+ lap races) for teams who do events spanning over a season like F1 or GP2 or Porsche Cup etc. I am totally not interested in short race events and turn up and drive.

I guess I just assumed that they will ship to UK. Will contact them to find out if they will.

I like the old design, it seems more stable to me, the new seems still to be in blueprint stages and not sure if it will be any good. There is also no information on price/availability of the new product.

It is really a shame since it is clear that the guy who built the initial product and the new one does know about SIMRACING and requirement, however there does not seem to be any urgency/business plan.

I am looking to buy a decent race seat or chair under 300£. So far I have considered

- Playseats
- Obbotu Zone

However it is very difficult to tell which one is better. I am looking for advice on getting one which gives good driving position, is height adjustable etc and has a good solid wheel mount (not shaky or jerky). I know a number of member have simpods or experience of using them. Can someone give me advice or getting the right one please?

Thanks for the explanation Bob, I will try to use it and see if I can make sense of things. I suppose it is matter of getting used to it, as lot of people seem to be using it finding it useful.



p.s: it would be fantastic if you get time to do your setup guide using VHPA.

Is there tutorial on how to use this tool? I am used to using telemetry tools such as Motec etc, however I find it very confusing to understand on how to use this tool. I am familiar with setup principles, however making use of those with tool seems difficult. I just need simple example and I will figure out the rest

Is there any chance of this tool being ported/moded to support rFactor, it will be great tool to have for setup analysis for a very popular game.

I agree with you on the fact that it require lot of knowledge to understand this, however there is always a start. I have read your old advanced setup guide that you made avaiable to us and it is a fantastic guide, I learnt a lot from it.

It is music to my ears that you are already working on updating it, I will eagerly wait for that to be updated. In the mean time I guess can experiment and try to learn more from the already avaiable information.

It is a great tool, however my problem is that I am still learning about car physics and how to create good solid setups. My problem is not lack of information, my problem is too much information. It would be really useful if someone can post an example (Tutorial etc) for one track setup using this tool in a simplified way. This will give a good example of how to effectively use this tool with LFS to create an analyze setups. I know there are very capable guys around here who can probably help guys like me to learn and understand LFS and use tools like this in a much better way.

FFShifter looks like a hack, and i would think that it would break pretty easily. I guess G25 is a better option and would work better.

Thanks for replying, if i knew how to do that then I would have tried it by now . Even so i dont mind giving it a go, if I am pointed in the right direction i-e any tutorial, what parts are needed, where to get them etc.

I have a DFP at the moment which works great, however I think i can do better if I have an H shifter and paddle for clutch too. As you all would know that DFP does not come with three paddles, it only has two which I currently use for Accelerate and Brake. I am looking for suggestions on getting a shifter and an extra paddle to connect with DFP.
Would it be better to buy this or would it be better to get a G25 which comes with shifter and three paddles. I have read reports that G25 is not much different then DFP, and if it is going to cost me more then I would rather stick with cheaper option. Looking forward to hear from you all.

thanks for quick rely . No i have checked it with care as well, set no wind, clear bright sky every time. Now the weird thing is, if i reboot my system, and restart the game, it will be entirely diffirent, it might actually become slow at straight, i was just doing 120Mph on straight, rebooted and now it wont go above 108Mph, that is massive diffirence. It does come to normal after some time but i will have to switch off the system for some time and then it will be normal. It seems like a bug to me.

Hi, I have noticed that XF GTi has diffirent top speed under same conditions at diffirent times. Sometimes when i start the game, i get 114Mph max, at other times it will go upto 120Mph on BL GP on the straight. All this on same setup and under same conditions. It has not happened before, after updating to Patch U it all started. Anyone else having the same issue? Is there a Fix for this ? Jind
