GPNY - indoor karting in the NYC area

A friend of mine is a writer for Men's Vogue, and he took me along as a photographer for a story about Grand Prix New York, a new indoor karting track that is opening soon. The track is great with quite a bit of elevation change, and turns modeled after quite a few famous corners out there in the real world. It's a little bit costly, but well worth the price for an afternoon of racing - and after each race a printout of your telemetry is handed out - a really nice touch for comparing lap times and what have you.

Anyway, while I was driving, I kept thinking of LFS. Check it out if you live in the Northeast.

Hi all.

I've been out of the LFS loop for a while, but downloaded patch Y recently and logged in to see what was going on online, and found only 1 S1 server that was empty, and ten demo servers... ?! where is the community? am I missing something?
How To Gradutate From "Pls Send Setup!"

So, I'm a noob in almost every way, other than crashing in turn 1 (i just wait until the pack is through )

I always try to learn a track with the basic setups, and then if someone is helping me usually they send a setup over. The setups always make a huge difference (for the better) but I never feel like I really earned the better times as I'm using someone's hard work. How can I move from borrowed setups to knowing what the hell is going on? I look at the differences between basic setups and the setups I get, I read about the settings, but overall I just am lost. Maybe it's because I'm not a consistent enough driver to test small changes - any tips?

thanks

Well, I'm thinking about picking one up - it's tough here though, I have no idea if I'm getting revision A or B, and I don't speak enough Japanese to really hammer out the details of the warantee. Maybe I should contact Logitech in the States and ask some questions.

Anyone know about Japanese race servers?

Japanese DFP - GTFP?

Hi everyone,

First post here, I've been playing the hell out of the LFS demo, and while I enjoy the mouse steering more that I thought I would, the throttle and brake makes the game all but unplayable. I can barely race the GTI, anything beyond that is just hopeless.

I want to get the full game, but not before I get a wheel, and therein lies the problem.

I am working in Japan for a couple years, and here the Logitech Driving Force Pro is the LogiCool GT Force Pro.

Do you think it will work the same? Same drivers, no other problems?

Also, Are there any races hosted in Japan? I can imagine that a full ocean (or russia) between myself and the race server would make for some mighty laggy play.
