Thanks for the reply. I gave that a try on #1 and it helps tremendously, I also noticed my brakes were way touchy as well but that has got it working now.
Still trying to figure out #2, I may try removing/reinstalling the logitech controller software and going with higher settings. Thanks again for the reply.

S2 owner here. I have a Logi G25 wheel and pedals, having a bit of difficulty in the sim. Here are the issues:

First, no matter what I set for wheel compensation and the wheel turn, my wheel is way to sensitive, you can turn maybe 2" and I see the wheel in the sim turn an entire turn and a half. How do I get it where it is a one to one ratio? In other words, I turn a half turn, the sim does the same?

The other issue I have is with the force feedback and the curves. I do feel force feedback in the game and also when I adjust it higher it responds to the higher strength. However, if I hit a curve, the screen display shakes but I feel nothing in the wheel. Other sims I have vibrate the wheel when I hit the curve. Any ideas?

well it happens to be when I tried "several cars", I looked at them in the garage, they don't have H shifters. Now flame me lol

This may have been asked, but could not find it anywhere. I have a G25. For some reason, my shifter does not work when I race. I can go into the setup, make sure it is set to "shifter" (not auto or seq), go to the gear setup and let it detect each gear, and it shows up fine in the setup. However when I go to race, all controls work just fine (gas brake clutch steering view switches ect) except the shifter, it is like it is not picking it up? I have even switched several cars thinking it may be the car (I know in some of them you cant use an H shifter with this patch). I also tried shift G to go between auto sequential and shifter, no joy. Any ideas? Please no flames, just can't figure this out. Thank you.

also wien, another note.....
yes I agree the ai are very cpu intensive. noticed a big frame increase by reducing the field a little. This is very similar to Flight Sim X, which is cpu intensive. Doesn't matter what hardware you have, that sim will bring a cpu to a crawl with everything maxed......

First off, thank you for a non-bs reply to a question......I appreciate it.
Secondly, yes the dynamic lod reduction helped quite a bit...I am now in the 50's range when racing everything maxed and a full grid.
I also have vsync disabled...which probably will help too.

back to the subject......

how come there is a huge drop in frame rate when running (yes I said ALMOST) the fastest hardware out there, does
anyone have a clue?
I have several sims....and most are in the 100+ fps with settings maxed, this sim drops like a rock during racing or replays.....

Well yes it is overpriced, but it's not stock.
I added the quad and the 8800 as well as upped the mem to 4gb, and added an extra 500gb drive space. oh plus a 24" hidef monitor and klipsh surround sound.
not stock by all means.....but it rocks -)

Old S1 driver, got back into it, just got S2.
I have a XPS700, quad core 6600 and GTS8800 video 640mb.
during single runs, frames are in the 125's to 150's.
during a race or replay, 15 <wow!> to 25......
I do have a momo with ffb enabled as well.
Any ideas on the drop in frame rate? Kinda sucks to watch it jitter during a cool replay, and knowing I have almost the fastest hardware avail.
Oh, DX is up to date, mobo and vid cards are latest drivers from nvidia. nforce 9.53 mobo and 169.21 video.
