Im one, I will be 31 in may. Going to the toy store with my kids helps keep me young so I dont really feel that old.......yet.

IMO the only thing that should have an option are the wheels. Would be cool to be able to use any of the existing wheels on any car.

I dont think it has become any less of a racing sim, there are just less people "racing" because of these other types of gameplay. I have played LFS pretty much since day one, and even back where we only had the one track and 3 cars not all the servers were race servers, there were drift and drag servers as well. I think its good that we have a few choices of how we play out favorite GAME. I personally like to jump on cruise servers. Years ago all I did was race and I have been in teams n` all that jazz, but I have 2 kid now so its very rare for me to find time to enjoy an uninterrupted race so I cruise, its a little less disappointing when I have to pit or leave 5 mins into playing.
So is LFS any less of a sim because of ppl like me, I dont think so, atleast were all still playing and supporting LFS when we could just go on to the next game.

Oh boy this brings back memories, I remember everything mentioned in this thread. I have a bunch of old videos from the demo days and back when the XRT had 2 exhaust pipes and the FXO had the big wing n` side skirts. Ill try to find it and put up a list of them, Im sure I got some classics from way back when.

Dragging down the BL straight, doing 200+ and catching one of those drifters going the wrong way was always fun.

I choose LFS because you accually had to drive the car, and it felt more real than any other race game. Im one of many who have played LFS pretty much from day one so I cant really choose physics and stuff cause back when we only had Blackwood(the old-old Blackwood) and the 3 demo cars the physics and all were nowhere near what they are today. Much different game back then, but like others I just plain liked how the cars felt compared to other games and it was and still is just so easy to get in and play. 20seconds, 3 mouse clicks and your online racing with the greatest sim racing community.

Here are my FZ and Rac sounds. They both have that hollow sorta Ferrari/350/G35 sound. I think they might also clip a little but not much at all, just turn down the exhaust volume if its too much for ya.

Thanks for uploading them again Nathan. Im thinking about doing a few more interiors again now that I acually play LFS again. Once I get some good reference photos Ill start making em, might even go with some race interiors for ppl usin the GTR cars.

I have a few of the models in .obj format but I cant figure out how to get them to smooth out right when I import them. When there imported the normals are all messed up and you can set them to face but then the model has all the sharp edges where the polys meet. If anyone has any suggestions on how to solve this problem please post an let me know.

Dunno if anyone else has this problem but when I press find games in W17 it dosent connect to the server and the game just freezes.

Cant remember its name(roadone I think), but the Quebec track from NR2003 would be nice, it had some nice turns and a fair bit of elevation change towards the end.

No bullman neither of those interiors are available for the XRT, and no sry I will not be converting them over. I make the interiors for myself(what I like) and post them for others to use or edit if they like them. And I dont do requests because I have a job and family so I can only work on stuff when Im off or the kids are asleep and the wife is doing her own thing cause whenever I did a skin for someone b4 they kept asking "is it done yet, is it done yet" and I got fed up with it so now I work on stuff when I wanna and release it "when its done"

Here is my new FXO-interior. Was a real quick job(few hours) so there may be some mistakes, and I havent seen it in game yet.
