haha, I feel like an idiot, but I found it. Its on the top of the options in the bottom left corner!

I have searched for the answer, but for the life of me I can not find the place objects button! I just got this game and am a n00b, sorry. I am doing this in singleplayer, pressing Shift+U. Please help!
