Nup, not in my case anyway.

Had a hard drive fail a little while ago and replaced it with 2 x raptor drives in Raid 0 configuration. Also have 2GB RAM (dual channel). Stutter or mini-freeze or whatever you want to call it was present before and after this (but only since it first started appearing in the game).

I even used a fresh install of LFS when putting it on the new HDD's.

I'm still getting mini-pauses each and every time some1 enters/exits pits (have W26 installed). On small tracks with lots of cars this makes qualifying an absolute nightmare. My pings to the server I race on are excellent.

I'm also having serious problems with major lag/fps issues/whatever at race starts due to more cars being able to be on the track, this is especially the case when they all decide to run into each other and have a major accident - it's as though my pc is having a fit lol

Was previously getting 70-80 fps easy with User LOD set to 0.6 and minimal (if any) noticeable reduction in this at race starts. Shadows etc are all turned off and always have been.

Now I have the User LOD set to 0.4 and am using compressed skins and have turned off prettymuch everything I can think of and am still suffering badly at race starts.

Please can we have the pit entry/exit bug thingy fixed once and for all? It's been a problem since it was first noticed after a (test?) patch and subsequent reductions in this lag have done nothing for me at all.

Would also love to only have to be concerned with other drivers at race starts

G25 rotation settings - help needed!

I have what might be a silly question, but I'd really like an accurate answer anyway

Just received my G25 wheel...

Listed degrees of rotation is 900 but u all knew that.

For each car in LFS under the steering tab when viewing setups there is a listed 'Cars steering wheel turns <insert degrees here (different for each car)>' and it's in yellow.

Immediately below that there's 'Contoller wheel turns <degrees I've set it to in LFS under Controls, wheel/js>

Can I get LFS to AUTO set 'Controller wheel turns <deg>' to match 'Cars steering wheel turns <deg>' ????????

My assumption is it would be more realistic to work on a setup once those numbers match. What I really do NOT want to have to do is manually alter any wheel degrees settings every time I change car!

Should I leave 'Degrees of rotation (in G25 control panel) at 900 and then let LFS manipulate settings from there?

Can sum1 please explain (preferably Scawen) exactly what 'Wheel turn compensation' does?

Also, are 'Spring effect strength' and 'Damper effect strength' (found in Global Device Settings for the G25) relevant to LFS or not? If yes, what do they do?

Similarly, should 'Centering spring strength' be enabled or not? I did a search for these answers and all I could find were varying points of view with no definite answers.

Any accurate help greatly appreciated!

Quote from Jakg :Thats the skins being applied to the cars, afaik

I sometimes get this 'stutter' you guys are mentioning and only since Patch V. It cant be because of the skins being applied as I also get it when sum1 enters the pits, not just on exit.

I had previously adjusted minimum sleep to 1ms and have now set it to 10ms. Can't remember what the default setting was.

Will let you know if it makes any difference.
