I suggest that until all the car parts like a clutch, transmission box, ect. don't have their damage models (or how to call it) done, there should be at least some simple overall damage model aside from the visual one. The most simple I can think of right now is that the a car would be said to be KO, if some noticable damage would have been taken.. like in % or parts - depending on location of the part in the car, and on the location of the damage taken. It just sucks in such realistic simulation to have cars hitting the walls in 200 kmph and then drifting away.

I have to agree, I simply hate racers who easily continue driving after 150 km/h wall crash(and it could be 300 km/h)... I would set max. speed of crash for various types of crashes and if such speed limit is exceeded car wil leave the track because it will be unable to run the engine or move or anything - you know how I mean it.

I agree - but the fact that there is no way of kicking crashed one out of the race - the game playability is RAPED!!!!!! I dont need perfect solution, but it should be no problem to do it as in old games - "YOU WRECKED YOUR CAR" and kick in to garage.

If this is a simulation why is it possible to continue race after a top speed crash to a concrete wall??? I think that the damage of such strength should be solved at least by some text like: Your car is totaled! or something - if it is difficult to deal with damage illustration.

I hate people driving around in totaly wrecked cars, doing something about 100 km an hour.

Everyone is thinking about cages nu. plates and such but the important think such damage is - noone.

Imagine: Last round of a race and U have been overtaken by someone who used the curved wall to slide in very high speed in front of you and won the race instead of dying with his car while hiting the wall.

What do you think?!

Thank u for your reply, u are correct. Me and my friend made a bet - I won!!! LFS IS THE BEST RACING GAME. p.s. johnyk knows how to drive(in case we met on the road) p.p.s. What is ISI ?

When steering a RWD car, FF effect should work the opposite way that it does in LFS. example: imagine that u are in a RWD car and u turn slightly left - then u begin to accelerate - wheel should go even more left and not right as it is doing so now in LFS!!! I sugest to put setting of this in options as I have seen it in bmw m3 challenge.

Live for speed is really solid game. But I have something that should be in the game. GHOST CAR is missing - the best fun when more people are playing on one computer and creating records. In every racing game are really important the graphics - reason is that driver drives the car according what he sees...so I think you should make some graphic improvement such as AS and AF setting in visual options.
