I don't see too deep into this problematic, but isn't the solution simple?
2-step authentication, normal thing nowadays. Wanna login to LFS account? Confirm via mail/SMS code/you name it. Wanna unlock the game? Same thing. I am aware the infrastructure required and the price of such systems might not be within reach of Scavier financial possibilities, but if it is, then isn't this the way? Steam has been working with this option for years. And that's only a drop in the sea, just to name one.

Quote from Flame CZE :But does that also imply that the person who downloads the model from CGTrader can't make any modifications to the model?

I honestly don't see the implication, so can't tell.

I think this is what it was originally based on:

21A.3. If you use any Product in software products (such as video games, simulations, or VR-worlds) you must take all commercially reasonable measures to prevent the end user from gaining access to the Product.

So in my opinion nothing changes. The way this is phrased makes it sound like end user should be unable to acquire the model from LFS. Even though it is technically possible now, the No Deriv license gives us the possibility to use CGTrader models in LFS this way. It is a lawyer language though and it makes my head spin Ya right, so i can't say i'm 100% sure, but better safe than sorry.

Quote from MandulAA :Optimize your models, people, do the work - proper modding is not just about throwing in a random, hyper-detailed mesh you just found, calling it a day, and when problems come up, starting to blame others for the work you have not done.

This!

Lots of the mods have wheels that are ready for renders, but totally not suitable for in-game use. If you want to have nice looking screenshots, make/buy a 3D model and render it into a scene, but blaming the dev of a sim game for not having it up to your standards is wrong. Don't be lazy, do the work.

Since the discussion is already started, i am also for this feature to be eventually included in the game, as external programs not always work, they can crash, can be complicated to connect with LFS... i had different sorts of issues with them i can't or don't want to keep solving - it would be more user friendly for sure.

The delta is something that helped me improve and keep track of where i make mistakes and also how (in)consistent i am. The position of the feature could be adjustable, similar to track map position. Any side or centre could be individual, i prefer it centered, because that's what i got used to in iRacing and also with LFSLazy.

Here is the iRacing version for illustration too:

Hope this can see the light of the day someday in the future update.

Seems nice! Just make the driver move his arms while turning the wheel. Tongue

If you'll add the rust and holes in the floor, then you'll have my 6 stars rating.
