Because I have written this post many years ago and everything in LFS was new to me then. As for now I'm just getting bored of LFS after 30 minutes of playing. We don't need all the physics stuff if it's too hard to develop. We just need some extra tracks / roads. That's all.
That's fantastic. By the way - is it possible to increase the max. lock of steering in cars used for drifting too? That will be big, awesome gift from you, especially, we will have new physics, so possibility to change max lock to 45* will be realistic (as in real drifting cars) and awesome
However, I'm pretty sure, that new patch will be smashing
That's nice, but please, remember of drifters and just try to give XRT, FZ5 and maybe XRG some settings helpful in drifting, like camber, parallel steer, toe, and of course - differential. That will be a big gift from you.
I have a little question also - now, when I have hot tires (I mean after the big burnout or few drifting laps) I have a lot of smoke on straights (without any sliding) - just because tires are hot. In new physics this isn't exist? Am I right?
I think mod can lock this thread. LFS might be the best car sim ever, but weird policy of developers and strange part of community are holding progress up.
It's easier to change the lock in real car than change all suspension settings, gear ratio, and camber settings.
caster, max lock, and wheels track are easier to change in real car without big modifications, than all suspension and gearbox settings. That's why I think this is so hypocritical.

45*is realistic in normal cars. This is the same type of tuning as changing suspension settings, gearbox and camber. This is the same.
If lfs is only racing sim, why the hell it has some of CRUISE options?
EOT
I don't get it why are devs promoting cruising, and killing off the drifting (real motorsport, not just cruising around the track with speedlimits)? And where is the rallypack?
IMO devs are dead, that's why we haven't got any progress report.
or maybe there's no progress in lfs development?
i'm affraid about this
but i hope i'm wrong, devs are still alive and lfs will be better and better in future.
