SOLVED!

Reinstall (swear i did that before, but whatever...) the game and it works fine fine fine.

Didnt uninstall or delete anything, didnt download anything, just found the alpha Z exe and re-installed it on the same folder I always had the LFS.

it works perfectly.

Wont work, windowed won't jump into black screen, but the game stalls... exactly when loading host textures into 85%.

We are getting closer.

Just tried the game again, is like this:

it all goes perfect, till the list of hosts...

choose one host, it starts to load, begin loading textures and it stalls at 85%... after 20 seconds it jumps into a perfect black screen, with my mouse pointer still there.

cant delete them, ive try it and the game wont even show the intro and 1st page

But dealing with the gfx card settings shouldn´t be when any other game has problems? It only happens with LFS.
i´ll try the settings later when i get home.

I´ve played LFS for many years, since S1 actually.

Got a new PC with Nvidia 9800GTX+ and the game loads, menu screen ok, load servers ok, after choose a server to race, it loads like normal, when it should jump into the server, it turns on a black screen, i have to Alt+Tab to go to windows and crt+alt+del it...

i´ve tried to change video options on menu screen, funny is that sometimes the game can load and i can race, but not anymore, black screen is my LFS racing nowadays.

Been reading all about black screens and stuff, can´t find any solution for my problem.

any other game like crisis or GTA4 runs beautifuly...

sorry about the same old "black screen" thread again, but getting desperate not racing for months.

any ideas?

Oh my oh my....

This conversation reminds me of the one about "when S2 will be release" back in old forum.... those were the times... i had a hard time waiting for S2, all the Devs did were feeding us with some screenies that made us feel worse ...

so, when S3 is "almost done", the Devs would feed us with screenies one year before launch, so relax, have fun with S2 and beat that time record.

Guys, is it possible to set the game for steering with mouse and on the same time using pedals for throttle and brakes?

i dont want to install a wheel inside my room, but ITOH it´s well known that throttle(ing) with mouse buttons dont give those "middle" throttle for the curves, which makes my times really slow.

so i suggested the option on having the same steering method by mouse, and having some pedals for the throttle and brakes.

is it possible? does the game options allow me to use only the pedals and not the wheel? installng only the pedals and not the wheel... possible?

But it seems that the "designers" are far too busy to accomplish those skins, or it´s because they are too far complicated?

I saw many well done skins all over these years, so those should not be a problem for a PRO skinner,... and the result might be a hit for the japanese GT skins lovers... hummm, maybe someone could make a collection of the Japan GT race skins... that could be so awesome

let´s hope someone could answer this post... looking forward to use that skin for sure.

i have no idea...

no buttons to click to unlock S2, nothing...
i always played S2 patch P, now i downloaded the patch Q and it treats me like a fool.

still, ingame there's the S2 Alpha 0.5Q.... but my stast says "demo racer"...
I've been out for a long time, back now and they treat me like a noob...

going to download the game again... all over again... and im sure it would be ok afterwards...

ill report the matter again after re-install all... stay tuned

just downloaded the patch Q and start LFS... yes, it says "LFS S2 Alpha 0.5Q" back there when it loads.

then the main thing... click multiplayer and there's only demo to choose, S1 and S2 requires me having it... what?

I have S2 alpha patch P previous installed... and it worked fine, S2 licensed, S2 playing... but now it says "demo racer" !!!! no unlocking buttons ingame...dont know what to do...

how can i solve this problem?
