lol, I've only spoken to Riddick a couple of times and this is something he'd do, he tried to run me off the track because I overtook him in the FO8 round at the new Blackwood, he luckily failed and caused himself to crash on the next turn. Hopefully people are not deterred to show up to the next round as a result of his attitude and driving and hopefully he won't be allowed to race for a while in these races as a result of him constantly behaving like this. Kinda glad I missed doing this now.
Was a fun race, wasn't particularly hopefully of a good finish after joining with 15 mins of quali left and then doing badly in it but pleased with the outcome, tires seemed fine and relatively easy to manage. The set done well for being Nick's adjusted cruse set
The GTR's/XRR does not get used for drifting because of the low steering lock and the slicks, it may get used more if it is given road normals and more lock.
honestly, as much as I would like to see steering angle added to cars like the XRT & FZ5 I feel like the current combination of steering lock, power and the way physics are is pretty much spot on (Without the overall of the physics that might be coming). I feel like more steering lock would not bring any benefit and just make drifting in the game too easy especially when tires get over 100 degrees.
But, if more lock does get added before the physics that might be coming get released then you should base it on the more basic cars that get used and not the top level cars with WiseFab kits that have up to 90 degrees of lock some times. A realistic amount for a car running this sort of power would be about 40 degrees honestly, maybe 45 at a push with some basic setups.
In this video https://youtu.be/fZIgskqlhMU, it shows you a reasonable amount of lock for a basic car, but honestly, we don't really need more lock with the way the tires work in LFS and the power levels we have.
was wondering if it would be possible for support to be added for the Fanatec CSP V3's vibration motors on the brake and throttle (helps to indicate wheel slip or lock up)?
Right, comp starts in 30 minutes, no Chris this week so the dressup of the layout might be a bit odd or unusual. Tough layout though, should separate the boys from the men!
