Quote from LazLoW :Winamp.

This.

I gave up and just decided to use Winamp. Worth it.

Hmm... my files seem to play for only a few seconds before stopping.

What am I doing wrong?

Quote from boothy :Well how do you expect to drive S1 content when the host is set to demo?

I don't know... as I don't know what that really means.

Could someone please chime in with an explanation. As you can see, I'm a complete 'noob' and I do apologize for my lack of knowledge.

EDIT: I just went back and took a closer look. It appears that when I'm looking at all the servers, it shows "dots" only under the XFG, XRG and FBM on that particular server. I went to look for a cruise server with "dots" under the cars in S1 and couldn't find any... only ones that I need S2 to get into. Great...

"You must be in S1 Mode"

When I go to my garage to select one of the new cars I purchased in S1, it says I must be "in S1 Mode to drive car x."

It works fine in singleplayer, but it does this when I go to multiplayer and try to use one of the cars on the "Universal Cruise" server.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Here's what it looks like:

Thanks!

Quote from Eclipsed :A very easy way:
In options/controls menu select either ctrl+ or alt+,type instead of a bind /press 7 and assign wheel button to it and repeat with other keys!

I'm using this for a while for F9-F12 and arrows to adjust antiroll or pit settings or just check tyres/damage without touching keybord. Allthough it led to one crash in 1h race near end once, because I had my screensaver set to 1h...

Thanks, I managed to remap all the buttons I wanted to using this method!

Quote from cargame.nl :I gave an example of a fairly busy cruise server on LFS remote. There you've could have seen cars driving on the complete track of AS open config in this case. Cruise servers tend to shift their configs also so it could be something else after a while.

If you would have followed my link (OK, the forum makes it an incorrect link here, true ) then you would have seen the server activity on a trackmap in Flash including chat, car details etc..

I did follow your link and see that, I just had no clue what i was looking at.

Quote from cargame.nl :LTC is the only (big) cruise server with remote activated.. So;

www.lfsworld.net/remote/?host=[LTC]+Live+To+Cruise+4

Thats how it looks like.

But there is more! Much more... You won't be disappointment about your purchase.

Quote from Sobis :I already told him pretty much all the major cruise servers (and convinced him to buy S2 ), and I must say TC is better, it has an unique insim and has 2 full servers at evenings. Also, the community there is great!

Quote from cargame.nl :I'm not biased to anything because I'm not interested in cruising at all in general... Just saying that TC has no remote activated (sort of)

Alright, you guys have lost me...

What exactly is "remote activated" and "TC?" Also, my other question ("Are there cruise servers that have the open track mode on either Fern Bay, Kyoto Ring or Aston?") still hasn't been answered!
XRG/XFG n00b setups?

I've been doing some reading and, apparently the "stock" setups are garbage...

However, I can't seem to find any "n00b friendly" set ups, either, and I don't want to jump right into "race" set ups as I read that's not good to do.

So, does anyone have/know of some good set ups to learn on? Also, how do I install them (if applicable).

Thanks in advance,

Quote from Silverracer :Now imagine how much fun it is with all road cars in LFS (+some GTRs), layouts and upto 32 cars on track!

Quote from Skagen :Not to speak about many more tracks, and most of them have extensive options for vairous configurations/routes with the new open track feature!

http://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/Tracks

Click on any track. In open track mode, you can drive anywhere you see light or dark gray colors. Kinda like a super-combo of all possible configurations.

Are there cruise servers that have the open track mode on either Fern Bay, Kyoto Ring or Aston? If so, that alone will be enough to convince me to buy S2. Please let me know!

I myself actually endorse cruising for beginner members like myself who want to get a feel for the car(s) without the pressure of an actual race.

I wouldn't recommend only cruising, though, because you'd be missing out on all that LFS has to offer!

Thanks, I've been driving on "Universal Cruise" for a while and have been enjoying it very much.
Remapping turn signals?
damonchoy
S2 licensed
Hi, I'd like to be able to activate my turn signals from my wheel instead of from 7, 8, 9 and 0 on my keyboard. While I'm at it, I'd also like to remap the view button from "v" on my keyboard to a button on the wheel.

Is there a way to do this? I can't seem to find it.

Thanks in advance!
Is there a server...

... where I don't have to race?

What I mean by this is that I'm wondering if there's a server where you can just cruise around the track with some people... where it's not competitive. If so, how do I join it and can I join it when I only have the demo version?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Quote from Bose321 :Also, if you have installed (do it if you haven't yet) the Fanatec drivers, does it look correct?

Aha, that's it! The drivers! I've completely forgotten about the drivers.

*A few moments later...*

Yep, now that I've installed the latest drivers and messed around with the settings, I think I've managed to get it right where I want it! Thanks.

EDIT: Wait, before I downloaded LFS, I was playing Dirt 3 with no issues! Why did Dirt 3 work just fine without the drivers?
LFS and Fanatec Wheels?

Hi, I finally upgraded my PC and just got started with LFS!

I like it so far, however, I've been unable to get my wheel working properly. More specifically, I don't think it sees the clutch properly. When it's not pressed, the bar for it's axis is halfway coloured. When I start to press it, the bar moves left until it disappears, then it reappears on the right and from there it eventually reaches the middle of the bar again. Is that what's supposed to be happening? It doesn't seem to be working quite right. I've also been having problems with centering the wheel, but I think I may be able to figure that out on my own.

I have a Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel with the standard pedals. Does anyone have some settings both on the wheel an in LFS that they wouldn't mind sharing?

Thanks in advance!
