Oh, then how come I didn't get any points for finishing 10th out of 20th, on the lead lap, when I have the most basic licence and no points?? This was at Blackwood, in an XFG the other night.
I know this is a few months old now, but it's just what I needed. I'm down to just under 1.38, but needed a few tips on getting those couple of seconds off the time.
Seeing as my actual driver name starts with CR, maybe the CR team would be a good move eventually?
Thanks for your insights. I've been asked if I want to join a team already, having spent a few nights racing on their server. They were nice guys, and helpful, and I enjoyed racing there, despite being a lot slower than them .
Ultimately, I want to be competitive on the track, but fair. I consider myself a good driver "out there" in the real world, and want to continue in that vain in here. Fast, but Fair is my motto!
Although I've had my S2 licence for a while, I've only started playing the game in earnest since christmas, when I got a new wheel as a pressie.
When it comes to joining a team, what level should a driver be at? I'm currently concentrating on BL GP, in an XFG, and my PB is 1.39ish. I know I'm 5 secs off the pace, but I also know that practice will get me faster, and I am only really racing for the last week or so.
My questions is, at what stage should I be seriously thinking about a team, and what are the benefits? I dont want to be an embarrasement to a team, or myself, by jumping in too soon
I've had S2 for a good while, but have really only started using it properly in the last week, since I got a new wheel over christmas. I'd be interested in a beginners cup, if it isnt too late?
I've only really started to get in LFS now, since I got a new wheel over christmas. While I'm still about 5 secs off the WR's (Blackwood GP in the XFG), I've found that by not braking so late, and being more controlled through the corners, I keep my speed up, and do better laps.
I was thinking it would just be a matter of time before I started to knock time off my PB's. Each night I seem to get quicker, so it seems practice, and control are the keys. This thread has confirmed this for me.
