Online Racing Help!

S2 licensed
Hello

Please, I dunno if I'm doing something wrong or what, but I can barely find a server with more than 0 drivers, yeah zero When I find, it's a drifting server (nothing against it, but I like to race specially!) or a racing server with only 2 online drivers with BF1...

The forum seems busy, I mean, lots of recent posts, so It seems LFS still got lots of users....but it seems I can't find them online.

So, I wanted to know if it's normal or not....

Yeah but still the game should store your fastest lap ever with which car and track you race in time attack mode. It would be much easier since sometimes I don't even remeber my best laps in some tracks or with wich car, and sometimes It takes time to find the best laps coz I have many replays saved.

Anyway, that's not a big problem at all, but would be nice to have that feature I mentioned.

Thx for the replies. I seached better the forum and I found some topics about it, I hope this update helps about it.

Yeah the sound is really important when driving, sometimes It's so intuitive that it's hard to notice it's importance. But I still need to sharp my ears a lot :P and also my driving skills. Thanks for the tips, I'm gonna try paying more attention to it.

Quote from Bob Smith :F1 car eh? It seems you've beaten us to it then.

LOL I mean that FO8, sorry :P It's really hard to control, but it has a nice grip. Also thx for the tip, I'll try it in my setup!
RWD Question

Hi!

Maybe that's not the right section to talk about it, but since the question can be answered with a setup I posted it here :P

Well, I'm new to LFS, but thx to some advices I got my wheel working fine and I also practiced a lot these last days. I noticed my time using FWD cars were just a few seconds behind the WR, about 2-3 seconds. But using RWD cars I'm really far behind, like 5 or 6 second. Thats coz the car oversteer insanely at low speeds, I mean it's like there's no grip, specially that FZ50. At least I think I learned to drift somewhat decent thx to that LOL :P But I can't drive clean with a RWD car, except for those formula cars that I feel much more stable (althouth F1 car is quite tricky with throttle but other than that, it wasn't really a problem to control it).

Well maybe it's just that I can't really feel that the car gonna oversteer before it does, since I'm not physically in the car...dunno how to explain, but you know it's just easy to feel it in real life.

Thx
Ale

Thanks for all the advices! They helped me a lot, now with my wheel working just fine, and trying new setups I was able to do some decent laptimes.

About the server, yeah, I checked some but I didn't know you enter as a spectactor! It was cool to watch other players racing, it's a nice way to know if you reach their standards or not and also learn. Although I still didn't really race online :P Since it's like my 4th day playing the game it's better get some experience before coz just do a "fast" lap in practice mode doesn't mean I can finish an entire race... I still do so many silly mistakes, it's a shame U_U , but I'll keep trying.

Thx
Ale

Noob Questions

Hi!

I just bought the S2 license after playing a few hours of the demo, the game is awesome and I was always searching for a more realistic racing simulator, so I couldn't resist. I'm a racing fan and I'm very familiar with racing etiquette, although since I'm quite new to the game and I'm having some issues with my wheel, I'm rather slow.

Ok, now the questions:

Is there a server that welcomes slower but fair drivers wishing to learn or just wanting some fun playing fair? I just want to enjoy driving a car as fast as I can... But I'm afraid to join a random server coz I'm too slow yet.

The other question is about my steering wheel, it's an USB Driving Force for PS2 which I used in my PC and it worked somewhat fine (LOL), although the force feedback isn't working in the game. But well, the question is that if it's possible to make the pedals less sensible? when I press like 10% of the gas pedal it reaches a really high rpm, almost the maximum...same for brake pedal, I just barely touch it and the car is locking the tires. That's a pain when dealing with more powerful cars.

Sorry for the long post and thanks for reading
See you
Ale
