Any For example, I use Logitech Wingman Pro FF and software called FFShifter (find it in Rscnet forums, Hardware section).
Modification - yes, you could make yourself a H gate, because without it soemtimes you misshift, but it's not really needed, I don't have a H gate, and don't do misshifts.
Yeah, if I remember correctly, NFS Hot Pursuit (IV) had something similar. For example, manual gearbos with BMW Z3 gave you 6 gears, wit automatic gearbox you had only 4.

Everything is translated, except "Scrub" from Live Suspension view, because I couldn't find short Lithuanian word for it, so if anybody has any ideas, feel free to inform me
Currently I'm trying to catch bugs of this translation, so it's version is 0.99 beta. Soon I will release final version. Just want to check everything - error messages, some terms etc.
Enjoy,

The other day me and other racer were racing UF1000s on Aston Cadet. The grid was we two with uf1000 and some 8-10 guys with BF1s or FZRs. Sometimes we were finishing in 4th or 5th place... That says it all
I also wondered, which signal to show, because in real life I've seen a lot of trucks, that show on which side is safe to pass them. So usually in LFS I blink hazard lights and move to side of track, I think that is good way to tell "yes, I see you, I'm letting you pass", and that doesn't confuse anybody
I've been racing lfs online for a long time, bought license just last week, and have been looking for "slower" servers. Maybe I'm not very fast, (doing about 1:28-29 ob Bl GP with GTTurbo), but I've managed to finish on podium or even win having almost slowest best lap
So i think, that you have to learn 1) drive consistently 2) watch space around you, know where others are, and try to guess, what they will be doing. It's better to take a corner a bit slower and leave space for your opponent, than to risk and take out yourself and others (of course, except the last corner of the race when fighting for 1st place )
Here in Lithuania one TV show about cars organized "Virtual Rally Championship". There were two categories - amateurs (regular pc gamers) and profesionals (Real life racers, both rally and track). They were using Richard Burns Rally. There were some amateurs (12-13 yo), that did beat pros... And I can tell you, those pros aren't bad - Lithuanian rally champions for example...
