My new interiors are a bit broken... see the attached image.
Any ideas why this happened? I did go from Y24 -> Y30, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or if I've just got a legacy setting set somewhere that it shouldn't be...
Even if it is used in real life, it doesn't quite seem fair. Taking the idea further, it's reasonably easy to maintain a burnout in a RWD car within the safe "window" to warm the tires up, giving you quite an advantage for the start and a number of corners while your opponents warm their tires up to the same level. In multiplayer, where it's possible to adjust brake balance on the fly, this could prove quite an exploit (or advantage, whichever way you look at it).
I'm not sure if this is worth making much fuss over, but at the start you can creep forward ever-so-slightly without being penalized. See attached reply.
Also, rather comically, if you push an AI (or presumably a Player) at the start you can get them penalized too. I didn't record this as it's very easy to reproduce, but it does seem more serious as a possible form of griefing...
Hate to quote myself but have found a way to get it "semi-working"... you need to restart before playing LFS. A pain yes, but presuming you launch LFS first and a butterfly doesn't flap its wings in China, it should continue to work for the rest of the game.
Doesn't seem to be working at all for me... one times in 50 it'll launch correctly, other times it'll prompt me to install patch V (which I already have repeated a number of times).
I'm running Vista Ultimate which might be causing some problems (already tried compatibility modes and running as administrator); any ideas?
Definately a step in the right direction, and quite enjoyable to drive something that sounds like a boyracer mobile... now to get the sounds to a GTR2 level!
My one complaint would be the turbocharged four bangers that do sound good and like turbocharged fours; except they have somewhat of a boxer signature about them (think Subaru WRX) with the throbbing.
