where is the default place to extract?

I've just bought a new desktop y/day that has vista. tried downloading lfs, and i get as far as where it extracts, and it goes to 100% and then the dialog box closes, and from there on nothing happens. anyone help ?

oh id have to say XRT, lx4,lx6 are too snappy i think, lot more neat precision driving from XRT

I have really given up, after constant fidgeting, i can still not get rid of my lag. I really cant understand, i am on the fastest internet broadband supplier in the country, no limewire, no msn no nothin to slow it down, and i still have it. Can anyone help me please!!!

I have been informed by other lfs users, that I am lagging very badly. I find this confusing as i have the fastest broadband in my area. I do run a wireless connection, and i have been told that there may be some adjusting that I can do to stop my lag. If someone could help me it would be great!!
